Philanthropic musings for the few
Poetry is... writing's Xanadu
Should the poet pantomime
In words that rhyme
Or perhaps come wrestle
and bus that spoken trestle
Mayhap write and wait
For words of fate
More words than lawyers
Connoisseurs and voyeurs
Sights and meanings
With gourmet leanings
The journey to shop the world
or think til thoughts unfurled
Will hold stiff without sag
Written banner like morning flag
Or rephrase and rescind
Early in that wakening wind
Then start once more...pen in hand
Writing before tide... in wet sand

Write above high-water mark

Uncommon words assembled in a well rhymed and pleasing array.

Fun to read and a nice poetic truism at the end.

Worth reading just to tickle your tongue.
