Exhausted
Sniffin’ fat tipped
Markers, tryin’
To keep awake
Painted my nails
Ghost white
While wondering what
You might be thinking
Right at this very second,
Figured it is work related
Figured it is not about me
Forgot about the pen
Tucked back behind my ear
Leaned onto my desk
And drilled a hole
In my skull, placed
My finger over the wound
And cried over you.
Figured you wouldn’t care
Stopped crying and began
To finger the flesh and realized
everything aches
