Seven days under
I finally found land
but your hand could no longer
reach me.
And I found myself
captive
to a golden hurt
I claimed I could elude.
But I've now
concluded
the only thing I've
loosed
is love.

Time is swift
but heals no wounds
no matter what
THEY
might say.
I know now
fourteen years past
that at least
I knew you
and you likewise.

What have you done
all of these years
with the secrets kept
inside
you?
