Yearnings
My mind is full of ecstasy
My arms yearning for embrace,
Yet this night finds us each in a separate place.
This body craves your touch,
This soul the fire you set,
But for now I close my eyes to slumber for it isn’t morning yet
As I drift to slumber my thoughts are sure to run with the knowledge
Of what’s just begun.
As these eyes open to dawn of morning light, Soon there after all the wrongs will again be right.
