you and I,
we are each
such tiny seeds
carried upon
flimsy, gauzy wisps
and tossed by
a single, gentle breeze
carried in turbulence
yet suddenly
you were in my arms
suddenly
you found my need
somehow so suddenly
you came to me.
with naked fragility
you came;
I offered you refuge,
shelter from your pain--
and oh, so suddenly
you arrested me,
captured me
with beauty
(that you do not see)
for even in your trembling
you found my need:
I am yours
as fully as you are mine,
and softly
we land together,
arms and legs entwined;
we are now growing
for all of time
gracing life's garden,
as we bloom
because we have each other,
side by side.
