You awakened me, my love
By Moonlight Elf
Standing at the kitchen sink
an errant sensation took me unaware
a stray resonance within me
suddenly I was transported back in time
to when I tasted lust
to when I first discovered love.
You awakened me, my love.
The times I threw myself into your arms
the times you caught me
when you held me, safely in your embrace.
Your kisses always so sweet,
yet your shining eyes and your grin
betrayed your lascivious thoughts.
You awakened me, my love.
The times you whispered
the naughtiest ideas in my ears
your mischievous suggestions
overwhelming me with all that was so new
turning my mind to such interesting matters
like exactly which new thing we’d try tonight.
You awakened me, my love.
The new things you taught me were fascinating
I marveled at the many positions
the many angles of entry.
I learned the many moods of lust and love
flamboyant, triumphant, shy
and everything in-between.
You awakened me, my love.
The way we played and laughed, coaxed and teased,
how we pleaded, insisted, demanded
our shouts much like ocean waves
ebbing and subsiding to groans and moans.
The sense of satisfaction, of satiation
a sense of completeness, of harmony that follows.
You awakened me, my love.
The next slow, delicious gathering of our desire
both delicious and unbearable at the same time
the feel of your tongue in the hollow of my throat
and when you cupped my swollen breasts
or when your arms encircle my waist
the memory of your caress sets me trembling.
You awakened me, my love.
Remembering, I smile as I wait for you tonight
for no words are more lyrical than your “I want”
no tribute more glorious than your desire
no line of poetry could compare to your fire
to the lust you arouse
to the love you inspire
You have awakened me, my love.
