You let me love you, I thought that you cared?
Why did you do it? I would not have dared.
You played with my heart, then broke it in two.
Love is a pearl that is found by so few.
Precious and beautiful, to nurture and cherish,
Treat it without care and soon it will perish.
The truth will come out whether early or late,
A love that’s not shared can turn quickly to hate.
So while you live wild and indulge your desires
Think of loves lost before time expires.
