You always know how I feel
You can always break through my exterior seal
You make me smile, you make me sigh
You make me laugh, you can make me cry
You can always bring a grin to my face
No matter what the case
You hold me in your arm
And I feel no alarm
Sometimes I want to kick and scream
But instead you let me dream
When I need you, you let me break down and bawl
But when I do, you never let me fall
Sometimes when I need you, you are not there
I want to come to your house and scream that it isn't fair
But you do not belong to me
For you have a family
I want to embrace you in a hug and never let go
But when I have to, I will cry so
I want to cry into your chest
For it is a place of pure rest
Where you are is where I want to be
When I am with you, I never want to leave
You know I carry a heavy burden
Of this you are certain
When in your arms I can breathe
However, all the time I am not, all I can do is grieve.
