They say you never miss, what you never had
But i had it and lost it, and now am very sad
I know there is no-one, but my ignorant self to blame
And i regretfully admit this, to my utmost shame
I tried to be nice, and ended up mean
Now all that is left, is thoughts of a wonderful dream
Of me & you spending, the rest of our old life
As friends & companions, as husband and wife
But I'll keep on smiling, cause' there is still love
So the rest I'll leave, to the man up above
For his infinite wisdom, will show us the way
And unite us together, once again i shall pray
My brain wasn't working, and my mouth done the crime
Now i find it's my heart, that is paying with time
