A mother sets her infant son upon his back to change his soiled diaper
He is aware she is unashamed
A nurse wipes the chin of a dying old man no longer able to feed himself
He does not look away
A teacher takes her young charge aside but does not hush his cry
His quiet comes from within
The touch of her warm palm upon his forehead gives him pause to seek it
Distant is the voice
Hard are our differences
I lust for what another only wants
