I found your ark and covenant
under seal,
beneath your bed
hardly concealed,
where inside you've said you've kept
your unconditional promise to me,
and inside you've said you've kept
my books, my pictures, my love
with your pressed leaves;
but I've found your oaks and poplars
between my pages
under stress,
and I've found your elms and aspens,
stuck to my pages
in protest

beautiful!

I enjoyed the whole poem, but your internal, subtle rhyme is elegant and the visions of the last couple lines is astounding.

keep up the good work :)
