You're Lonely; I'm Lonely

You say you're lonely and I must confess
That I am lonely too
It's been this way
Most every day
Since back when I lost you.

I try to replace
What we had
But nothing fills the void
Inside of me
Sometimes I dream
That some day
You'll come back
To what I thought was meant to be.

But if your heart has no more love for me
That's ok
I'll walk way
Forever.
But if there's any feeling there
Come back to me
And we will be
Together.

I'm not asking for the rest of your life
Stand by me if for just a little while
And maybe we can help each other
Through the lonely nights.

I just don't want to be alone
And I'll step aside
If your someone special comes along.
Because I don't want to hold you back
I just want to be where you're at
In your arms where I belong

If your heart has no more love for me
That's ok
I'll walk away
Forever.
But if there's any feeling there
Come back to me
And we will be
Together.

You're lonely; I'm lonely
So let's be lonely in each other's arms.
