Dread looms in each
burning breath drawn,
rise and exhale from this,
your severed slumber.
Shake the mold from
your creaking joints
stretch your leather flesh
and flex your twisted
tendons toward the sky.
Rise up, fight off the
sunder from your strength
Inhale against
your destiny, this,
your airtight doom.
Stagnant fate chokes
out in sputters of
blood and water,
coughing suffered
Free yourself from
slumber eternal.
