'Are you fucking him?'
Stunned, she replied, 'That's none of your business.'
Maybe she was right, it was none of his business but Sam had never been so angry in his life, he had no intention of stopping, 'I think it is my business who my sister chooses to whore herself out to.'
Emma looked shocked, but it was quickly replaced with anger of her own, her eyes flared in rage. 'How dare you! You ignore me all year and then you appear out of nowhere to call me a whore because I went on a date? I am entitled to date men. You have a girlfriend, or so I hear, why shouldn't I have a boyfriend?'
She was right. He knew she was right, but he couldn't stop, he had to know. He walked up to her and grabbed her arm, 'Are... you... fucking him?'
This close to her face he could see her nostrils flare slightly, her eyes narrowed and bore holes into him with her anger.
Emma yanked her arm away, 'I don't have to put up with this shit.' She grabbed her purse and ran out the front door.
Shit. He kicked the door. That hadn't gone well. Sam felt the adrenaline pumping through his veins, he'd never been angry like this before. He didn't know what he should do. If she wasn't sleeping with him before he was pretty sure he'd just forced her into his arms and likely his bed too.
Emma had run a few blocks and then up one of the many secret stair paths that were scattered around the Berkeley hills. She sat down on the stairs and tried to breathe. She was shaking.
Once she was able to breathe again she started to cry. What had just happened? Why was Sam so angry at her? She hadn't heard from him in months and then he shows up and abuses her, accuses her of being a whore. She couldn't understand why he hated her so much. She sat there crying for hours. Finally, when she was sure their parents would be home, she walked back to the house. He was gone
