Malachai and I blended another spell, one of transport, and he relayed his concern to his dragons as I did to my wolves, using our eyes.

Suddenly the spell flung past, and I saw it was not just one to end invisibility, but one to freeze. That jangling feeling became a scream in my mind as the spell went and dipped below the crest twenty feet ahead.

A voice cried out, female. Alessandra! It had to be! I found myself running, breaking the connection with Malachai who shouted my name.

Andre caught up with me just as I found the figure laying dazed, shrugging it off.
