"I love you, Jake," was the last thing she said before she drifted off to sleep.
"I love you too, Em," I said, kissing the top of her head.
We slept like that, completely naked, our arms around each other. I drifted off to sleep thinking, I'll never look at thunder storms the same way again.
And I doubted Emily would be scared of them any more, either...

Anonymousover 15 years agoI'm almost wondering who was taking notes on my first time. Right down to having gone on the Pill at age 16, but it was for regulation in my case. And yes, I'd hardly dated and had been pretty darned sheltered my whole life. It almost sounds cliche', I know, but I felt like I was reading my own life with this one. And it got me hot. ;-D I know I'll never be scared of thunderstorms ever again. Tornadoes, either.

I also like that it sounded realistic, like it's something that actually could happen the way it did. And when I lose my virginity to my boyfriend, I hope he's a sweet as Jake was. Great job!!!
