"Adventure will always exist if we want it," Caleldir said firmly as he held tightly to Ashyr. "I would like to eventually make it something that we have to seek out rather than something that busts in our doors and murders everybody we know. Adventure is better not at home." He smiled. "I admit that I will never be content to just stay away from all danger though."

It was probably inappropriate, but laughter bubbled from Ashyr's throat at Caleldir's words. "Yes. Next time, we'll make home an adventure-free area. Strictly off-limits." She settled further into Caleldir's arms and let out a great yawn. "I think maybe I should sleep tonight."

"I second that notion. Both of them." Caleldir replied. Picking up Ashyr, he carried her over to the bed and set her down. He slipped into bed after her. "Goodnight, my beloved."

"Goodnight, dearest." She muttered, using an affectionate name more commonly used by Selene. As soon as she voiced those plans to sleep, it was like a switch went off in her body. She was rapidly fading into dreamland. In fact, as soon as she said those words, she dropped into happy unconsciousness.
