A Love from the Past Ch. 16-18

"When you came back from your meeting, I just found out an hour ago," Netalia answered.

"But you fell asleep," Cory said with a small smile. She nodded.

"Doctor Forest said being tired was normal," Netalia told him.

"Are you alright?" Cory wanted to know.

"I'm fine. Doctor Forest told me that both the baby and I are looking perfect," Netalia answered. He pulled her to him and kissed her until she was breathless. "Wow," she murmured. Cory laughed. "How do you feel about having a baby?" Cory asked. They hadn't even been married nine months yet and he knew she hadn't wanted to get pregnant right away.

"I'm excited. I'm terrified, but the more I think about it, I don't know if I can wait another seven months to see our baby," Netalia told him. He grinned, relieved. "But I have to," she said. Cory nodded and kissed her again, wrapping his arms around her and holding her tight.

"I love you," Cory murmured in her ear. Netalia smiled.

"I love you too," she told him.
