Stephen chose not to challenge the response, perhaps knowing it could lead to no good. Yet still, his mind dwelled on it. It wasn't the first time it had come up either, wondering just how much of his father he had in him. Whether he would eventually turn out the same way. The thought alone was enough to scare him, knowing the damage he had done to his family. What if he was no different? What if he would do the same to his own family one day?
He tried to push the thoughts from his head, and focus on something else. Grace's slowing breathing caught his attention, as the little brunette slipped into a near sleeping state. He thought about what she said, about his mother's loneliness, and how much it affected her. If there was one other person in the world he wanted to help, it would be his mother. She had sacrificed so much in his life to make him the man he was today. Theresa Willow deserved happiness, and an idea began to form in his head.
"Grace?" He whispered softly.
"Hmm?" She whimpered back, on the verge of sleep.
"I wish for my mom to find someone who would love her like she deserves. Someone kind, and generous, and willing to love her with everything that he has. I wish that his qualities and traits align with hers perfectly, and he'll provide her with the best possible companion to grow old with, someone who she can love for the rest of her life."
Grace gently rolled over and kissed him deeply. "It's done, Stephen."

Author's Note: You've made it the halfway point! Thank you for sticking with me this far into the story. This was another favorite chapter of mine, and I really like how the next one turned out, too. We have plenty of action ahead, so stay tuned for the next installment! I hope you're enjoying the story so far, and I really appreciate all the comments (I read every one!).

Anonymousalmost 2 years agoWasn't one of the rules that Grace can't use her magic for other beings? How could she use it for Stephen's mother? Also, how could she do it without the wish being linked to sex?
Anonymousalmost 2 years agoCJ seriously dude you are now my favorite author on Literotica. I'm going to get through 7 and 8 tonight can't wait to see this one through to the end. My previous favorite author wrote a story that took 6 years yes Years to finish sometimes waited a whole year for a new chapter. Thank you for this story.

TheSecretBunnyalmost 2 years agoThe story has grown since the first chapter, the characters are all well fleshed out.
It's my sincere hope that you don't stumble and make a mess, I have seen plenty of writers here rush towards the end. And it all just becomes a big mess, which makes the reader go "meh sucks".
