"Then I suggest you tell me why you have barged into my office interrupting a meeting with the Prime before I have you launched out of a cruiser's missile tube." Admiral Nordaltim demanded. "Thank you Aqiltid that will be all. Have security stand by outside. Dismissed."

"Yes Admiral," she replied meekly and departed, shooting a look that could almost be called insubordinate at the Captain.

"Now then Captain." Nora invited. "You have the floor."

"Thank you admiral, I realize that this is most unusual, but I am confident that when I have finished my explanation, you will agree that it was the correct course of action." The Captain took a deep breath and visible got a hold of herself.

"Prime, Admiral, I was assigned to assimilate the database supplied by Captain Mina and the alien Ambassador to see if it was accurate, or simply a deterrent to keep us from proceeding. As they are still in orbit, we are getting additional information streaming in near real time.

"I can now say with ninety eight percent certainty that the database was accurate and not a fabrication. In addition, our AI has completely reviewed not only the historical database, but most of their entertainment databases as well.

"It seems that they have several various mediums of entertainment. The most viewed is something that they call television, or TV. It is a very crude version of our tri-d vids, presented only in flat pics. They have several vids of something they call news, similar to our info vids. These info vids show only the most horrific items, murder, war, and devastation. They attack and kill each other almost constantly. The geopolitical climate of the entire planet is extremely volatile. The group that Ambassador Jacobs belongs to seems to encourage each and every citizen to maintain and carry primitive propellant charged projectile weapons.

"Those by the way appear to be the only type of personal weapon on the planet. They seem to have no idea how to develop gravity weapons.

"They also have a primitive digital system analogous to our global data net. The most searched items on the data net appear to be images and vids of the own people engaged in intimate contact, either with each other or on their own. There are also a great number of images that appear to be drawings by individuals depicting any number of sexual scenes. Some of which I had never even considered.

"There mass entertainment involves something called movies, again similar to our tri-d vids, but they appear to not have out technology to create true tri-d. Most of their movies appear to be violence oriented, involving armed conflict, theft of another's property or relations and murder."

Prime Byrocnel and Admiral Nordaltim sat horrified listening to the Captain's briefing. Divel continued on more than half an hour before Nel raised a hand and stopped her.

"Captain, what conclusions can you draw from all this data? I don't mind telling you that I am more than a little overwhelmed by all this."

"I understand Prime." Divel said, pausing in her recitation. "The best that I can say at the moment is that this is a very primitive and dangerous planet. Even calling them civilized is a very long reach. I would recommend caution in the extreme.

"Another entire genre of their movies involves conquest from an extra systemic force planning to take over the planet. Whether these are historical or simply creations to mislead us, they have demonstrated that they are willing to use primitive nuclear weapons on each other. I have no doubt that they would be willing to use such weapons on an invasion force."

"Our ships could withstand such weapons." Nel said with confidence.

"They can withstand several hits by such weapons Prime," Divel said softly. "However, my research indicates that they enough of these weapons, mounted on primitive combustion rockets to hit every ship in the fleet no less than ten to twelve times, each."

"How could such a civilization survive with such warlike tendencies without destroying itself?" Prime asked shocked.

"I do not know Prime," Divel said shaking her head. "However my research indicates that they are aware of such possibility. They refer to it as MAD, Mutually Assured Destruction; apparently they believe that since every geopolitical group has enough destructive power to destroy their planet, no one will launch such a weapon. The attacking party may destroy their target, but the target will also destroy the attacker. They even have something that they call the doomsday clock. Apparently it tracks just how close to complete destruction that they are; they display such on their "news programs" periodically."

Both senior members of government looked aghast at each other.

"Admiral, it is not my place to say, but everyone in intelligence knows that the fleet is getting ready for deployment, and the supposition is that this planet is the target. I would recommend that we delay any such launch until we have had more time to review their information, databases and been able to establish what is truth and what is misdirection."

The sound of the comm drew both Mina and Kevin from a deep sleep. Mina snaked out an arm and tapped the comm button.

"Captain here," Mina answered trying to sound alert.

"Captain, Ops here, all personnel have rotated through planetary leave." The operations officer reported crisply. "We have dawn approaching the initial landing site and have the materials requested by Ambassador Jacobs for the construction of the conference facility ready for delivery. We will have to make a short hop to the asteroid belt to replenish our store of raw materials, but that will only take two hours to get out and come back."

Mina sat up twisted down to look at Kevin as he lounged beside her stretching and trying to wake up.

"Very well, send the materials down to the surface and begin construction before we move out of orbit. Captain out." Mina closed communication and turned on Kevin.

"What have you done now?" She demanded, leaning over him.

"Who, me?" Kevin asked with complete innocence.

"You do not see anyone else in this cabin by the name of Ambassador Jacobs do you?" She pushed.

"I don't see anyone by that name." Kevin replied diffidently. "I'm Governor Jacobs, remember."

"Kevin..." Mina said sounding dangerous. Kevin knew that he had pushed her far enough.

"I simply asked our ambassadors to design a conference building here on the beach near the toll gate. It would serve as a permanent structure to satisfy the treaty requirements and give us a place to meet the Fleet officers to talk about a treaty. I requested your engineering staff to prepare the necessary materials to put this together quickly before the fleet arrives so that it is ready. I didn't know it would make such a dent in your stores that we would have to make a trip to the asteroid belt to replenish your raw materials."

"I hate it when you get so logical on me." Mina fumed. "It means I can't yell at you as you deserve."

"I am doing this for your people as well as mine." Kevin said trying to hold his temper.

"I know you are," Mina conceded. "But you have to remember, I am the Captain. Such things should go through me first."

"And I am the ambassador," Kevin retorted. "I sent my request through your channels yesterday. I didn't know they would do it without clearing it with you first."

"Okay, okay," Mina sighed. "I don't want to fight about it, it's too early." She flopped back onto the bed, landing on his shoulder. "Any other surprises that I need to know about?"

"As a matter of fact there is..." Kevin replied smiling.

"What now," Mina said not looking at him.

"This," Kevin said as he picked her up and sat her down on his face, licking her slit with relish.

"Kevin," Mina squeaked in surprise and then moaned in delight as his tongue started her center dripping.

Kevin lay beneath his wife and even as he worked on pleasuring her he brought up a window in his implant and sent a message to the First Officer, marked private and confidential. The response was immediate and agreeable, and Kevin put that business aside and turned his full attention back on the matter at hand.

Mina shifted her hips in time with his probing tongue, her hands stroking her own body from hair to waist, where she encountered his hands as he held her on his face. She had begun to get sufficiently wet and Kevin moved one hand to her opening and slipped a finger inside as he sucked gently on her clit.

Mina groaned in delight and then screamed in orgasm as his finger found her g-spot and rubbed it hard. Mina jolted in orgasm, squirting her cum all over both of them, but mostly on Kevin's chest. Her stomach rippled as he kept working her clit and spot and she felt that she would pass out if he kept going and she begged him to stop.

Kevin smiled to himself as he sucked her juices down and relaxed his pressure for a second and then suddenly doubled it. Mina started to relax as he let off the pressure then she screamed again, even louder as the next orgasm hit her hard. She bucked even harder and Kevin let her fall to her side on the bed. He slipped out from between her spread legs and slipped from the bed as she fought for oxygen. He made his way into the bathroom and finished cleaning up and dressing before Mina recovered.

Mina looked at him through her barely open eyes and disheveled hair, still fighting for calm. "I hate you." She whimpered.

"And here I give you a pleasant way to start the day and you react like that. Some people have no gratitude." Kevin smirked. Mina stuck her tongue out at him.

"And just how do you expect me to go about my duties when you have left me a puddle of endorphins where skin and bone used to be?" She questioned without moving.

"Your problem," Kevin responded unconcernedly. "I did my bit for Queen and Country this morning, with no thought of reward, and none received I might add, and you are complaining. See if I give you any more morning pick me ups." Before Mina could respond the comm. chimed again.

"Captain, all materials are planet-side, along with the assembly crew, they are only waiting for Ambassador Jacobs to begin." The First Officer reported.

Mina gave Kevin a dark look as he smiled benignly at her and headed for the cabin hatch. "Inform the crew that Ambassador Jacobs is on his way, we will move out of orbit as soon as he is on the surface, I'll be on the bridge in minutes. Captain out." She turned to say something rude to Kevin, but he had already left and she was alone. Shaking her head, mina stood and slipped her bracelets on and activated her underway uniform and headed to the bridge, wondering what could have possessed her to take such a crazy mate.

Kevin made his way to the teleportal room and then quickly to ground side. The assembly crew was already clearing the area needed for the building. Seeing Kevin they quickly got the construction into high gear. The plans were simple and the materials were all designed to simply snap together.

They laid out the foundation, marked the corner points, laid in the necessary piping and had the floor down in under an hour. Walls only took another hour, and the roof another two. By the time Mina reported that they were back, the basic structure was completed. Mina came down from the ship with a message that the President had called and needed to talk to Kevin a few hours later and found the building finished.

Waist high polarized windows faced the water, a table capable of seating twenty sat in the center of the building, with comfortable chairs, air conditioning and a small kitchen and washrooms at either end. She smirked when she saw some smartass had labeled the male washroom 'Ambassador' and the female one 'Crew'. The walls were the same neutral colours as the ship and the carpet matched.

"You've been busy," Mina commented, looking over the room with delight.

"Not me, your crew." Kevin said pointing. "I have been relaxing under that tree over yonder, watching the delightful image of your off duty crew frolicking almost naked in the surf."

"Don't believe him Captain," one of the crew said. "He has been working harder than any two of us. I doubt we would be even close to finished if Kevin had not been here."

"Kevin..." Mina said menacingly turn to him.

"Well, it is my name," he replied, moving away from his still clearly angry mate. He turned and sprinted down the beach as she chased him at full speed, screaming for him to stop so that she could kill him. The crew member that spoke, one of the two newest members that Kevin had seen the day before, turned to her senior.

"Did I do something wrong?" She asked. "He did do most of the work and he did tell us to call him Kevin."

"You did nothing wrong," the Petty Officer confirmed. "This is just them having fun."

The girl looked after the fleeing couple and then at the P.O., and then again at the couple, now barely visible down the beach and shook her head. Old people in love made no sense.

Mina caught Kevin after about ten minutes of chase, but she suspected that he allowed it. She dove and caught him about the waist and brought him crashing to the sand. He grunted as she landed on his legs and laid still as she swarmed up his back. She began hitting him between the shoulder blades as she vocally described his many character flaws. It didn't help that Kevin lay beneath her laughing. Finally he rolled over and threw her off him.

"Feel better now?" He asked calmly.

"No," she fumed. "You are still breathing." Kevin laughed and pulled her into a hug.

"Too bad we don't have time to finish what we started this morning, but you are needed aboard right away." Mina told him after a passionate kiss. "The President needs to talk to you right away."

"No rest for the weary." Kevin sighed.

"I thought it was the wicked." Mina said.

"I don't think you're wicked." Kevin grinned. Mina growled at him and slapped his arm. She contacted the ship and seconds later they were back aboard and headed for their cabin. Kevin quickly jumped into the shower to wash the sand and sweat off himself before putting the call through to the President. Mina started the procedure for him and then headed to the shower herself to give Kevin a chance to speak to the President privately.

"Good afternoon sir," Kevin greeted the image of the president.

"Good to see you Kevin, you look relaxed and like you have been having fun."

"Just got off the beach after assembling the building for our meeting here sir. What is wrong sir, you look stressed."

"Kevin, I am sending you a data feed." The President said pressing a button on his desktop and a file appeared routed directly to Kevin's implant. "It contains all that we have found about the reproductive problem that Mina's people are having. We think we have a cure. I want you to hold onto this information and not release it until we have a peace treaty in place. They can't know you have it."

"But sir, if we can cure them..."

"Kevin, this is a safety valve for us." The President said. "If they know we have a cure and are willing to give it to them in peace, it may stop their attack. If they know you have it, they may attack anyway and take it from you."

"I understand sir, but I still think that we should give it to them first." Kevin protested.

"Kevin, I agree with you, but the other world leaders want a treaty first and I can see their reasoning. I am giving you a Presidential Order. You can reveal the existence of a cure, but not the cure itself if it will help with negotiations, but that is as far as you can go until you have a treaty."

"Forgive me for asking sir, but is this true or just a political bluff that someone has come up with to strengthen our hand?"

"No offence taken Kevin," the President sighed. "I asked the same thing and got told that the cure is real and almost ready. We have isolated the cause; it is now a matter of finding a way of eliminating the cause without creating more problems."

"Yes sir." Kevin responded just before the image disappeared.

Mina returned from the bedroom, looking fresh in a clean uniform.

"So they may have a cure, well that certainly changes the dynamic of the meeting." Mina commented casually. Kevin whirled on her, fire in his eyes. "Calm down Kevin, I will respect your President's instructions and say nothing to my people. I don't want to go to war any more than you do."

"How did you know?" Kevin demanded.

"I am Captain," Mina said serenely. "Nothing happens on this ship that I don't know about. All message traffic is automatically routed to me."

Kevin looked at her and sat down on the couch blowing out his breath hard. Mina came and sat on his lap.

"I will help you my mate." Mina said softly. "Together we will come up with a way to make this work."

Really enjoyable, just one criticism...

Get an editor! Or at least a proofreader. At times it seems like not a paragraph goes by without AT LEAST one misused, misspelled or missing word. This chapter is no exception, with the most memorable gaffe being using "prostate" where "prostrate" would be correct (something about the Prime collapsing, and the other character "looking down at her prostate friend").

And, speaking of prostates, Why do so many aliens in LitE's Sci-Fi/Fantasy section have the same "naughty bits" (eg, clitoris, 'G-spot') as Humans?

Are u going to post the chapter anytime soon?

We are really busting our balls thinking about what's going to happen....

Spectacular!

I absolutely love this story! The characters are engaging, the plot is intriguing, and the balance of story and sex scenes is fabulous. What more could we want in a tale!?

Thank you for writing this and especially for sharing it with us! I hope to see the finale of this story and maybe even more tales set in this universe.
