A Paladin's Training Ch. 06

Aran's attention was brought back to the women. "Well if my dresses are too expensive, my dear," Rayna said coolly. "Stop buying them! You only like them because I make them with low necklines!"

Bella gasped in offense -- Aran was unsure if it was feigned or not -- and put a hand to her chest, momentarily covering her cleavage, of which there was far less on display than Rayna was showing, making the redhead something of a hypocrite for judging Bella's taste in dresses. One look at the grin on Rayna's face said she was well aware of this fact, however.

Bella turned to Aran. "Aran, you're a man. Tell me, do you appreciate a woman who parades her assets around town for all to see? Or do you prefer a little mystery?"

He had to be careful, here. Even though they were still playing, they would be weighing his next words to the ounce. He decided to test the waters. "I appreciate either, depending on my mood."

The girls raised one eyebrow each, almost in mirror of one another. "And what mood are you in at present?" Bella cooed, stepping closer.

Aran's Gift hummed as she neared, and he felt the answering resonance in both Bella and Rayna, the latter of whom was now leaning on the counter, watching him and Bella with interest. Every fiber of his being was calling him to kiss Bella's plump lips, to put his hands on her flaring waist and pull her close...

"The kind of mood that a man finds himself in when he's in the presence of two stunning women," Aran replied quietly, staring into Bella's big dark eyes. "Each as beautiful as the other." He turned to regard Rayna, who was leaning forward intently, sighing and shaking her head slowly.

"Who are you, Aran?" the busty redhead asked. "That you can stroll over and have both of us hanging from your every word?"

Suddenly, Aran realised his Gift was vibrating strongly inside him, and being so close to the women, it had started to expand. Looking around, he noticed some of the women passing were turning to stare, some of them offering him smiles. A very chesty Dwarf with her mammoth tits barely contained in her bodice shot him a cheeky grin as she passed Rayna's stall, followed by a willowy Elf in forest greens and browns that blew him a kiss! Even a Human woman old enough to be a grandmother gave him a sly wink!

Aran shut his Gift off quickly, suppressing it as far as he could, to a dull, background hum. It was past time to be gone. "Ladies," he began, spreading his hands apologetically. "Though I would love nothing more than to stay and get further acquainted, I must be on my way." When they looked disappointed, he added, "though I will look for you again as soon as I'm able, if that's agreeable to you?"

Getting nods from the two women, Aran politely excused himself, doing his best to disappear into the crowd.

***RAYNA -- Market District, Ironshire***

"Who the bloody hell is that young hunk of man?" Bella breathed as she watched Aran vanish.

Rayna frowned at her friend critically. "Young man? You sound like you're twice his age!"

Bella turned back to face her, her pretty eyes alight with excitement. "I'll tell you, Red; if I were twice his age, I'd still tumble him in the hay!"

Rayna laughed out loud at that. Bella was never afraid to say what she was thinking, a trait the two women shared. "Can't say I'd blame you, Bel," she confided in her friend. "There was most certainly something about him."

Bella nodded. "What do you think it was? I felt like a moth drawn to a candle, though it didn't feel dangerous. I've known men that were dangerous; you get attracted to them and later regret it, but I didn't get that feeling from Aran at all."

Rayna had to agree. Whoever this Aran was, she'd only met him twice -- and both times were brief -- but he'd made one hell of an impression. "I'm not sure, love," Rayna murmured. "But I have the feeling we'll see him again before too long."

Bella grinned wickedly. "Which one of us do you think he likes?"

Rayna frowned as she realised she hadn't even considered that thought yet. She and Bella had had friendly competitions where men were concerned many times before, and each time the winner had taken the spoils, but this time was different, somehow. "I think he likes both of us, Bel," Rayna told her friend.

Bella placed two hands on the counter and leaned in toward her, putting her pretty face inches away. "I think I know how to handle a situation like that," she whispered conspiratorially. "Remember a couple months back? That strapping half-Orc with the big cock from Maralon that couldn't decide between us?"

Rayna nodded, leaning in a little. "I do. We showed him a very good time."

"Think Aran will mind if we do the same for him?"

Rayna shook her head, feeling a thrill of excitement at the thought of sharing this mysterious man with her best friend. She and Bella were not lovers, but they were close, and the night with the half-Orc had only brought them closer. "In that case, love," she said quietly. "I hope we see him again very soon."

Bella's eyes floated down to Rayna's cleavage, and Rayna found herself pushing her chest out a little for her friend's benefit. "I was just thinking," Bella began, biting her lip as she eyed Rayna's tits. "That we might have a glass of wine this evening." Her hand crept forward across the counter until it rested softly atop Rayna's.

Rayna's belly fluttered at the touch, and she took a deep breath. What was happening? She felt like she was on fire! She and Bella had never made love alone before, but now Rayna was finding herself very attracted to her pretty, raven-haired friend. Had Aran done something to her? She felt like something was waking up inside her, something that had always been there, but she'd denied. "That sounds enjoyable," she found herself saying breathily. Was it possible she'd always been into Bella, and she was just now discovering it? During that night with the half-Orc, the two women had been more focused on the man than each other, though Rayna still remembered -- even through her then wine-hazed brain -- the way her friend had looked naked.

Bella's lush lips curved, and her dark eyes seemed to draw Rayna in. "I know we've never done this before," she whispered softly. "But I want you, if you'll have me." At that, she withdrew slightly and pretended to look through the bolts of fabric on the table.

Rayna exhaled. With Bella's attention on the cloth, she felt the spell break a little. She tried sorting her thoughts for a minute, but instead found herself reaching out to touch Bella's hand as the other woman ran her fingers over a piece of yellow silk. "My house," she said in a low voice. "Tonight, after the seventh bell."

Putting the silk down, Bella smiled and raked her eyes over Rayna one last time before hitching her baskets. "Looking forward to it, love," she purred before moving off into the throng.
