Words just can not convey the emotion of an intimate time like this shared by your family. Yes I said family, Tonie and I had a lot of work to do together to correct our mistakes, but we were still family. I hadn't talked to her about us yet but the look in her eyes now said volumes to me.
The look in her eyes told me that I had all the answers with me the whole time. Jane had placed the strain on our marriage. We had a communication problem and we were too hard headed to talk about it. If Tonie would have trusted me there would never had been a problem, if I hadn't have ran away we could have worked it out. Tonie finally had worked out that Jane was jealous of her and broke off their friendship.
I spent every waking moment at the hospital, until Tonie was released a few days later. Donna remained for observation, but was expected to be home in a few days.
I don't want to go into a lot of detail about our reconciliation because there is not much to tell. We both saw we had not acted very responsibly and shared the blame. Neither of us had stopped loving the other, and we both let things go too far. My biggest regret was not being there for Tonie when she really needed me, hers was the lack of trust that she had displayed.
Jane's name is never mentioned anymore, we're past all that and looking forward to the delivery of our son in a few months. We grew up a lot in those few months that we were separated by someone else's jealousy and greed.
I never did get to fix the screen on the front door of our house, we did paint it the color Tonie wanted though before we sold it. We are living our dream in the country now, but I will never quit looking over my shoulder. A happy life can be turned upside down when you least expect it. I don't take what I have for granted any more, that had almost cost me everything.

Great Fast Story
I enjoyed the story, screw all those other Anonymous ass holes out there. It was not perfect but enjoyable. Besides a woman being pregnant does throw off her blood chemistry and having a best friend lie to you is possible although she should of talked to her husband seriously. The husband leaving because he loved her and no longer wanted to fight with her I thought was great.more...

What a Cock-n-Bull Story
Ya, like I believe he bounched back and forth from one office to another, that being the one he left, and got back together with his "wife". NFW! Get a damn DNA test done and then get the friggin DIVORCE! Pay the damn child support if it's yours.more...
Well, I don't think that I would have taken
responsibility for the baby without a DNA test being done. Too much hinky about what the wife was doing. Now all of the sudden she is sorry, she missed him, she needed his insurance and his great job. Gravy train leaving the station was a huge eye opener for her. Jane was the least to blame for the whole thing. Wife gotta own all of that. And I damn sure wouldn't have taken the hateful bitch back. He found he could live without her, needed to continue doing so.
Again, well written, if a little terse at times. But I can live with that. Gave you a 4, would have been a 5 if any of the characters would have been likeable. Hate meddlers, cheaters and wimpy and indecisive men in these stories.more...
Sorry. Too Quick To Forgive
Why do I get the feeling that Donna is not the biological child of Tonie's husband. [Note to writers: The sign of an inept writer is one who acknowledges characters names in the first few paragraphs; then refers to them thereafter as 'he' or 'she'. The husband is seemingly always the first one to fade into anonymity.] From this point on nothing higher than 4 stars will be available from me when characters appear without a name on the last page. After all, how hard is it for a writer to say, "Barry said." instead of "he said."?more...
