Click hereAs they walked in and took their seats, they began talking of all the things Hannah and Ra had seen in the last turnings of the sun. She explained the plan for the aliens and rescuing the remaining men in the few compounds that remain. Hannah watched as the child in her mama's belly kicked and stretched, "Is it a boy or girl this time?"
Ciara grimaced, "A little boy by Damien, one that won't leave my bladder alone."
Hannah congratulated her male breeder for his offspring, but asked, "How many more are you going to have mama?"
"This is the last one, Hannah. We no longer see the need to have anymore. The healers have found a way to remove my uterus so I will not produce." Ciara explained, wincing as the little boy did another tap dance on her bladder. "I couldn't explain well enough a woman getting her tubes tied, so they said they could just take the whole thing out."
Kein spoke up, "We have all the family we wish and your mama is tired of having them, and the condoms still carry a risk. The healers assured us that she won't remember any of it."
Ra laughed and sat forward, "You may have grandbabies soon enough, we are of breeding age now."
Damien and Ciara looked surprised, "Why didn't you send us a transmission. We could have sent you a gift."
Hannah waved her hand in the air. "No gift is needed to celebrate that. Women normally have a party but we were to busy to attend."
They all nodded, Hannah and her sister were always busy. They continued talking until Ciara started to yawn. The girls stood, their wing tips brushing the eight foot tall ceiling, and bade her family a goodnight and flew to find there own shelter.
They found a warm and dry spot for the night and settled down. This was not a good place in their opinion to have offspring. The weather was far to wet, Hannah's T'valik birthsisters were much better suited with their furless skin. As it was, Hannah and Ra looked like wet dogs shaking the water out of their coats. They needed the oil that they could coat their fur with. Ra and Hannah prepared some of the dry wood in the cave that had been placed their by the men. A small flame appeared and warmed the room up significantly.
The stone felt good against the wet bellies of the girls as they lounged on the floor.
Ra was the first to speak, "You know our cycle is coming soon."
Hannah rolled her eyes, Ra was far to interested in breeding for her taste.
"You can't put it off forever, sister. It's not healthy. Roan and his family have expressed their desire to mate with us, if you are willing." Ra continued as her wings flopped down to the out messly.
Hannah let out a hiss and gripped the floor beneath her, "I will not be forced to breed with anyone! Mama went through that and look where that got her."
"Ciara is not forced to breed now and look how happy she is, plus it is our duty to try and breed to continue our species." Ra angrily responded, "How many Women look down on us for not have offspring?! Think of how far we could go if we did?"
Hannah hated to admit it, but her sister was right. They needed to at least try and breed at her next cycle. The idea just didn't set right with her.
Ra faded off to sleep fairly quickly as Hannah stewed on her rock. Why couldn't see be like normal women and crave the men. She huffed, why did she have to be normal?
She settled down and watched the embers of the small fire fluctuate with the breeze that blew through the cave. The hypnotic light slowly sucking her into the much needed rest.
******************************
The following day was busy, they sent a written transmission to the Administers about them wanting to try and breed their next cycle. They didn't figure they would hear anything back for a couple days. They placed the pad back into a small bag they carried between their wings and went to find their extended family.
They found them sitting at a large table filled with most of their children. Hannah found a comfortable spot and asked about her birthsister, Kennedy.
"Your birthsister is far south in a desert. Her sister's wanted to study some of the strange animals that call the climate home." Christof answered as he spooned food into Bane's young son, "She will return in a couple of moon cycles."
Hannah nodded in understanding, her birthsister loved to study anything new. It seemed like everyone had something that was important to them.
The ebb and flow of the conversation relaxed her, no one required her to pay special attention, unlike when she took her meals with the administration. She nearly jumped from her spot when loud yelling from the kitchen's caught everyone's attention.A tall, blonde boy ran out with his brothers shrieking in laughter. A man followed them out yelling obscenities at them for knocking over food.
Anger flickered over Evan's face as he stood up, his son and his brothers stopped in their tracks. "Mycah, why are you not controlling your brother? What you did was dishonorable and you need to apologize to the man who takes the time to cook your food."
They had enough grace to look guilty as they turned back to the man. Mycah spoke for his brothers, "We apologize for knocking over food and causing a mess, Tourn."
They turned back to Evan and smiled, the same did not grace Evan's mouth. "You boys will help Tourn in the Kitchen for four turnings of the moons, we will see then if you want to cause problems." The boys nodded and sat down at the table.
Tourn nodded slightly and walked back into the kitchen. Johnathan and his brother saw Hannah across the table and waved a greeting. Hannah smiled, he was so much like his male breeder.
The tables conversation turned to the aliens. Damien was concerned that they would take a different tactic and try to get other species involved once the women stopped selling ore. Hannah thought it was a good possibility but stayed quiet. They didn't need to be upset at something that was just a possibility.
Ciara ran her hand across her belly, "At least we are all together this time."
Bane and Kein agreed, all their young were in the same place besides Kennedy.
Hannah made eye contact with Ra, they wouldn't be happy that they were only staying a couple days.
They caught Ciara looking at them from across the table as if to ask a question. Hannah sighed, "Go ahead, ask."
"Well, I know you girls just got here, but we were wondering if you would like a tour of the valley? All of the families have been working hard and would feel honored for a administer in training to take a look." Ciara said quietly.
Ra and Hannah laughed, "We are not administers in training, though hopefully one day that will be the case. But we would love to go and look with our family."
They all agreed to go once the children were done eating.
***************************
The valley turned out to be surprisingly fertile. The warm, humid air had some of the crops growing to enormous proportions. Everyone was proud to show the girls what they were accomplishing here. Hannah looked around, she didn't see any patrols.
"Daddy, why aren't there any patrols going on?" Hannah asked they passed a large plant that reminded her of Earth corn.
Damien smiled, "The mountains keep most of the predators away. We have guard at the openings that are located on the ground. Nothing really tries to cross the cliffs, the wind normally tears anything to shreds unless you are flying high above or follow the tunnels."
She nodded in understanding, they had thought of everything.
They explored until the boys started to become antsy. Ciara then declared they needed to sit down to there studies. the collective groan had everyone laughing. Her mama herded them back into the cavern system and disappeared from sight.
The men disappeared on some errand and they were left alone.

That is it for the first chapter. Another should be coming by the beginning of the next week depending on when this gets published. Love you all. Here's to you DoctorWolf....I hope you see this one day.
In the first page I have seen two misspelled or misused words. Other than that, your style and mechanics are good I think. To me, it feels obvious that Doctorwolf is female and you are male. No other criticism actually. I do hope that you continue.

Thank you all for the comments! This is the first chapter....It will take time to get flow...The next chapter may take time coming. I want to live up to all your expectations so I'm going to take this on a litter slower and try to get the feeling into it that DW was so good at.
As a side note: the uterus being removed was an off the wall idea. She couldn't tell the doctors how to tie her tubes..nor with them being out of the compound could they get the drink for her. Plus condoms still have a chance. lol I think Hannah was completely misunderstood in the story and not enough time was taken on her character. I thought about adding Fugi's story in just to give some perspective and depth. What do you guys think?
I just want to say I have fallen in love with this universe originally created by DoctorWolf and continued by Mewtwo93! It is a compliment to any writer the passion it takes to want to continue a story. Let me introduce myself, I am the new editor coming on board and am really excited about this project. I have many years of experience as an editor and hope to add value to this team. Even though this is a continuation of a previous writer, my goal is to help Mewtwo93 put her best voice forward. I think we are off to a great start!

When talking about the tubes tied vs uterus removed, it was something I pointed out. But in actuality, the original story had this done. Granted the medicine might have been an alternative, but this is also a viable option.
as for the ending of the original, your correct in that regard, it was the weaker point to the tale, but that in and of itself makes the story much easier to work with. the free society was barely talked about or explored, and with this new angle giving us much more insight, we've got a lot of potential to create a dynamic tale within the origin story
agree with the editing, i'm just a big idea's sorta guy, its why I have my own editors for my tales.
thanks for the feedback, i'm sure its appreciated
