Then there are those who think they can "throw her out". I don't know about Australia where this story is set, but in the US almost every state has no fault divorce. That means the house is half hers, he can't throw her out. If he does physically throw her out then he committed domestic violence and again will go to jail. Under no fault divorce the best he can hope for is joint custody of his children. However the court always rules that the children should get to stay in their home and the mom will be there with them. The husband will be the one moving out, so yes it makes sense for him to say he loves his children too much to leave her or to try a force her out.
A few didn't like that he confronted her with the letter. They thought he should have snuck around to find out if it was true and then beat the guy up. I thought confronting her with the letter was the right thing to do. It gave her no time to make up excuses and he could see her reaction.
