"I couldn't sleep. I didn't want to bother you. " She said, and he noticed that she was withdrawn and distant.
"You're cold, you're shaking all over. What's wrong? " He asked.
"Nothing, I just couldn't sleep. I'm not cold. "
"Okay. " Adam picked her up and without saying anything, Jesse put her arms around him. He carried her back to bed and held her tightly.
"We are definitely going to have to work on your sleeping problems. " Adam whispered softly. She turned to face him more and rested her head on his chest. He gently stoked her hair until she fell back asleep.
