Adam and Steve Ch. 02

"Because he needs to know his place."

"You don't have to change him, he is a good man. You don't beat someone you love."

"He needs to know his place, I will do whatever I want to my boyfriend, until he knows what IS EXPECTED OF HIM." Adam was about to grab him until he noticed that Steve and Frank, his Father were standing right behind Jack.

"Jack, come with me, right now." Frank stated in a stern voice. Steve grabbed Adams hand and they followed Jack and Frank to Franks study. Frank didn't speak for a long time until he was calm enough to talk to his son. "Jack, pack your apartment up, I am sending you to our London office, you will be there for the next few years."

"Dad, no, I can't I have my life here."

"Either go or I will let Ben press charges against you. I don't need our name tarnished, so get what you need and I will have the rest of your apartment packed and sent to you."

"I am a grown man, I don't need this shit."

"Are you a grown man, why the hell are you beating on your boyfriend?"

"He needs to know his place."

"And what is his place Jack, what is his place?"

"He needs to know how to treat me and be in my world, and not disrespect me."

"Disrespect you Son, you don't even know how to respect me. Pack your shit and you are to be on the plane in the morning."

"Dad, I won't go."

"Then you don't have a job or your trust."

"Dad you can't do this."

"Yes I can, now go home and pack, I am sending Steve with you, then you are to return here for the night."

"Yes Dad." Jack left the room and went straight to his car and drove home.

"Steve you better go before he gets too far ahead of you, I had Ben moved, I have confirmation that he is at your house now, Security is waiting for you and Adam to show up before they will leave him." Frank turned to Adam. "I am sorry that my son has done this, please don't think bad of my family."

"Sir, I am just thankful that you are helping Ben, I could see how afraid he was tonight."

Adam followed Steve out to his Father's Bentley and they drove over to Jack's. "I want to go in with you."

"No Adam, please just stay out in the car, we have pissed off Jack enough tonight, I don't know what I will be walking in to, but he will be calmer if it is just me."

"I don't want him to hit you. If I am there I don't think he will."

"Adam, please it will be ok, I can handle my brother. Please stay in the car, if you value our relationship."

Adam looked defeated. "Ok Steve, but if he lays a hand on you, come back out and I will deal with him."

"He won't, and I will be back out shortly."

Steve walked up to the condo and just walked in without knocking. Jack was sitting in the living room. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Dad sent me to make sure you got back to the house tonight."

"Fuck him, I am not leaving, you can't do this to me."

"Jack, you can't ruin our name, what if you hurt Ben beyond just bruising him. Jack, you need to leave, Dad is giving you away not to tarnish our family name."

"Steve, it isn't fair, he has never been nice to me. He just fixes my problems by sending me away, I should have just killed myself years ago, I believe he would have been happier off."

"Jack don't say that, Dad loves you. Come on, let's get you a bag packed, he will have everything else sent to London for you."

"I want Ben to come with me."

"Jack, you are never to see Ben again. Find someone in London, but don't do anything like what you did to Ben, or you will be put somewhere by Dad, you know that, right?"

"Like Uncle Michael."

"Exactly."

"Ok, I will go and pack, but I really want Ben."

"You can't have him, forget about Ben, Jack. If you don't want to end up like Uncle Michael, just forget you ever knew Ben."

Jack got up and left to his bedroom and started packing two suitcases, when he finished Steve helped him take the suitcases to his car and load them. "Are you to follow me back to the house?"

"Yeah, then Adam and I are going home. Hand over your keys to the condo." Jack did so and got in his car and left back to the mansion, Steve locked up and walked over to the Bentley and got in.

"He didn't fight?"

"Nope, he doesn't want to lose his trust."

"Interesting about rich kids and their trust. Hope I don't offend you, but you seem like someone who could take care of themselves if Daddy took their trust away."

"Not offending me, I don't use it, I make what I need to live on."

When they returned the car to the garage, Steve went inside to talk to his Father for a minute and Adam waited in the limo. When Steve came out he looked drained. "What going on Steve?"

"I will tell you when we get on the road." Steve settled back and took Adams hand and they just sat there for a few minutes, Steve took a few deep breaths. "Ben is in bad shape, Dads security took Ben to the doctors before bring him to my house."

"Take me back to Jack."

"I can't do that Adam, please, he is going to be out of the country for a few years, if he can't follow the rules Dad will make him disappear."

"What do you mean by disappear?"

"He will be placed somewhere where he will not be in society. Please Adam, just leave it be, Dad knows what he is doing."

"I don't like this Steve, he should pay for hurting Ben."

"I know, just please, let my Father deal with Jack. He will never hurt Ben again, I will promise you that."

When Adam and Steve arrived at the house, they walked up to the house and a man opened the door. "Steve, we have Mr. Carson lying down in your spare room, he is a wake he refuses to take his pain pills right now, he wants to see Mr. Cort."

"Thank you, Tony. We will take it from here, have a good night." Tony waved to his other guy and they walked out of the house and Adam just stared at the two six foot five guys. "Let's go and check in on Ben."

They walked into the back of the house, and Steve knocked on the door of his guest room, and opened it. Ben was lying on the bed, his face was black and blue, his right arm was in a cast and he looked like he was crying. "Oh, shit." Adam stated as he rushed over to Ben. "Ben?"

"Adam, it is ok, I am fine." Adam could tell that was Ben's normal response and that he was still in shock.

"Ben, are you hurt anywhere else?"

"I am fine Adam." Adam pulled Ben into a hug and rocked him, he didn't know what else to do, and Ben started crying hard. Steve left out of the room and got a bottle of water so Ben could take his pain pills, hoping it would calm him down enough to sleep.

"Ben, please take your pills, it will help you calm down and help with the pain. Were you supposed to work tonight?" Steve asked.

"No, I have the next two nights off, but I can't go back looking like this."

"Don't worry we will get you a medical leave. Here take your medicine." Steve handed Ben two pills and the open bottle of water.

"Adam will you please stay with me." Adam looked at Steve and Steve nodded.

"Yes Ben, I will stay with you." Adam climbed on the bed, wrapped himself around Ben, kissed him on the forehead as he cried himself to sleep. Steve sat there with them for a bit then squeezed Adams hand; he left out of the room, shutting off the light as he left.

The next morning Steve was standing in the kitchen making a pot of coffee when Adam walked up and hugged him from behind, he held the hug and didn't let go. "Adam are you ok?"

Adam kissed Steve neck before answering. "Yeah."

"How is Ben this morning?"

"He is still in shock. I looked him over, he has bruised or cracked ribs, as you can tell a broken arm, and his face is pretty beaten up. Your brother should be brought up on charges, but Ben doesn't want to press any, he truly has the battered spouse syndrome." Adam still continued to hold Steve. "Thank you." Adam said after a long silence.

"What for?"

"For letting me hold Ben last night."

"He needed you."

"Yes, he asked me to take him back."

"And?"

"I told him again that I would always love him, but I could never be in love with him again. I did tell him I would help him get back on his feet though. I hope that you don't mind I offered that."

"Adam." Steve turned around in Adams arms so he could look at him. "You need to do what you need to do, I know you have a lot of history with Ben."

"Well, I am going to move back into my house and sign my apartment over to him, so he has a place. That is the least I could do, to help him out, plus there is a bonus in all of this." Adam smiled.

"What is the bonus?" Steve looked at Adam's smirk and couldn't help but smile.

"I will only be a few blocks away from you. That is if you still want to stay in a relationship with me."

Steve smiled and leaned in for a kiss. "Of course I would love to be in a relationship with you."

Ben was standing in the hallway, tears were in his eyes, he was hoping that Adam would come back to him after all he has been though, but as he heard, Adam has moved on. Now he felt all alone, he didn't have Jack or Adam.
