In the bath again to wash of the sand particles and the grime and sweat of the dance earlier in the evening we scrubbed ourselves clean. I played some romantic songs and we danced nude holding each other close. Sipping on some more of vodka we rested on the living room floor and were asleep in a short while.
We woke up early on Sunday morning and had breakfast in silence. Sneha was very edgy and had not said a word. Her eyes were moist with tears which she was trying to control. We packed up our stuff and I put our bags into the car. Sneha meanwhile was on the beach front entrance staring emptily at the open sea. I walked towards her silently and gave her a big hug. She let go and started crying. I consoled her and we both started out to Pune. I was partially successful in getting back Sneha to her own self. It was late at night when we reached Pune. I dropped her to her home and we parted with heavy hearts after a long lingering kiss.
Both sad and happy at the same time I drove back home wondering about how our relationship had evolved. But I was happier that Sneha would be back in her marital home and would make things better for her. Alas this wishful thinking was to be short-lived and within 2 years Sneha found herself staring at the bottom of the barrel again.
