Now I remembered, I tried out a beach chair and with everything around me, I'd fallen asleep. The beach football game resumed and I looked around, nope, no Jennifer emerging from the ocean. No bacon cheeseburger, either.

Well, back to reality, Hollywood.

I wandered around Chuck's estate feeling the sun all around me, the drinks were flowing and I doubt a bottle of Corona ever left my hands the entire time. I remembered some of the people from the last time I was there and it was good to catch up with them.

Someone I'd seen last time at Chuck's caught my eye. Naturally, I couldn't remember their name but she was in the midst of an athletic beach football game and had just made a great play. A burly man holding a curly headed little boy yelled out to her.

"Alright, baby! Good play!"

"Good play mommy!" the little boy yelled

The blonde with the football gave high-fives all around and then hugged what seemed to be her husband. She looked exhausted as she trudged through the sand and took a long drag on a water bottle he held. Then she noticed me.

"Hey! I remember you! You were here last time we were." She said exuberantly

"Yes, I remember seeing you."

"You went off with the Simpson girls, I think." She laughed

I couldn't help but blush

"The Simpson girls?" the man said looking at the blonde

"I don't know, maybe it was someone else." She said "Hi, I'm Kendra."

That's who it was! I remembered the last time I was here she'd recognized me through her friend Bridget but we never got to chat much beyond a "hello". Seems the Simpson girls got to me first.

"Oh, Kendra Wilkinson?" I said then quickly corrected with a finger raised "Oh! Sorry, Kendra Baskett."

"Ah, you got it right." Her husband Hank said, making us all laugh. Especially Kendra, that distinctive laugh confirmed it really was her.

"You're friends with Chuck?" she asked

"Yes, just started working for his firm."

"Oh, cool!" she said as their son pulled her off towards the ocean. "Catch you later!"

"Good meeting you, sir." I said as I shook Hank's hand and he followed her.

Chuck spared no expense with the food, it was hard to think of anything he left out. But strangely enough, I didn't see Jennifer anywhere. What I did see though was a stage being setup amidst a DJ spinning tunes all evening.

"I wonder what he's got planned." I thought

Then off to the side of the stage I saw Amy Adamson, whom I'd known for a long time as an A&R rep for different music acts.

What was she doing here?

Now the plot thickened. Before I could investigate (or at least check out the gear they were using) Chuck called me over.

"I want you to stick close to me, Jim." He said "there's a little bit of business I want to discuss with you."

"Oh? Nothing bad, I hope."

"No! No! Come on! Do you think I'd bring you all the way out here if it was anything bad?"

"OK, just the paranoid side of me comes out at times like this."

"Well, put it back in, kiddo. You worry too much." He replied "...and get yourself another beer, I wanna use up the Corona I bought especially for you."

"Aye-Aye, mon Capitan" I said adding a nautical salute for good measure.

And then the birthday feast began. Chuck's wife seemed to know exactly what would please everybody. I got a plate of barbecue ribs and found a table near him as directed. Just after I sat down, a lovely lady joined me.

It was Jennifer!

"Hey, surfer dude." She said as she joined me at the table.

"Hi, it's, uh, good to see you again." I somehow said

Jennifer looked fantastic even in a simple cropped white t-shirt with Hawaiian flowers printed across it and green Hollister shorts. It looked like underneath the shirt was a cool bikini. She had a cheeseburger and some kind of fruit juice and was seated between myself and Chuck, I wonder if that was planned?

"So you went for the big stuff, huh?" she said as she saw me dig into my plate of ribs.

"Oh, yes, it's something I don't get very much. So, I figured why not?"

"I could never get the hang of those, too messy I guess." She said

"That's like a ritual where you're from, I guess."

"Oh, so you know where I'm from, huh?" she said with a laugh

"Uh, yes...Uh, Texas."

"OK, that narrows it down...where in Texas?" she replied with an inquiring look.

Geez, I know exactly where she's from but do I reveal my knowledge or bluff my way along?

"I think it's Waco." I finally said (Hell, I could probably win a trivia contest on her)

"OK, I'll give you that one. I was born there but raised in Killeen, little town outside of Waco. What about you?"

"Me? Oh, Connecticut, that's where I'm from." I said as I sipped my Corona and she watched "Uh, like a sip?" I offered

She thought for a moment and looked around

"OK, I'll try a little." She replied as she took a sip of my beer "Ooooh, not bad, kinda sweet tasting."

"That's why I like it, it's not really heavy-tasting."

"Oh, so you can get bombed on it and not realize it, huh?" she joked before looking at her watch, a rugged Timex model made for the ocean.

"That's always a possibility." I replied

"Oh! Time for me to go to work." She said as she stood up.

"Work? What do you mean?"

She gave me a sly smile

"You'll see." She said as she went inside the house.

Chuck was holding court at the table next to us.

"Jim! Over here!" he called to me

Chuck beckoned me over to his table where he was talking with Amy and two Asian men I'd never seen before.

"Ah, Jim!" he said "You remember Amy...this is Ken Takara and Dozo Isk-iski..."

"Iskihara, not everyone gets it right the first time." Dozo said as he smilingly corrected Chuck and shook my hand "Pleasure to meet you Jim, we've heard about your work."

"Thank you" I said as I sat down, still unsure what this was about.

"Ken and Dozo here run a dance club here and in their native country."

"Ah, and where's that?" I asked

"Japan, we have some plans in that area." Dozo said

"Tigress is getting back onstage, in a big way. I'm re-launching them, as it were." Amy began "getting them back onstage is but the first step."

"And since we're doing things in a big way, we want you to be on our team." She continued "We're doing a show with our partners here next weekend."

"And we'll need an ace photographer." Chuck added

"Where's the show?"

"Tokyo." Ken replied "At our flagship club."

Whoa! Now I knew she was serious about re-launching them.

"Uh, Okay...I guess you've got your man." I said

"Excellent!" Chuck said in his boisterous tone "Jeff will give you all the details Monday morning. Enjoy the party."

"Pleasure to have met you, Jim." Ken said as we shook hands again

"Yes, can't wait to see your club." I replied.

Just as I'd left the table, Chuck's wife Bonnie took over the microphone.

"Aloha, everyone! Welcome to our home!" she said "As you know, it is my husband's birthday, well actually this is the second part of his birthday. As you might know, he's not the easiest man to buy gifts for."

"Neither are you!" Chuck yelled back at her getting a big laugh from everyone.

"In that spirit," she continued "I thought about giving him something that he's never had before."

As she talked, I saw a huge cake being wheeled toward his table, lit with dozens of sparklers and accompanied by two attendants in what seemed like military outfits. There was a gasp at it got closer.

"Happy birthday, baby!" Bonnie said to much applause.

The DJ started a big recording of "Happy Birthday" and the crowd began to sing.

Just then, the top of the cake blew off and amidst a shower of glitter and confetti, a girl emerged in a Marilyn Monroe costume, blowing kisses and looking sultry. Chuck was stupefied, so was I. Bonnie laughed at our reactions.

"Marilyn" got down from the cake and made her way to the microphone, accompanied by the attendants who took off their hats, shook loose their hair and revealed themselves to be the girls from Tigress.

And I suddenly realized that "Marilyn" was in fact, Jennifer!

She took the microphone and did a breathy, dead-on impression of Marilyn singing "Happy Birthday", looking at Chuck and adding "Mr. Tyler" at the end, with Tigress doing great harmony vocals.

I had to get a photo of this! I immediately got my little camera out of my pocket and snapped off as many photos as I could. All I could think of was; thank you Nikon!

A huge cheer went up from everybody there. Bonnie was right, this was something he'd never had before. He stood and embraced Bonnie for a long time, then did the same with Jennifer and the Tigress girls.

Chuck now got up to say a few words to the party.

"Well...I have to thank everyone for coming out here, thank you to the newest member of the Artists Unlimited family, Miss Monroe. I mean, Ms. Hewitt, you've made this quite the event." He started "This is also a double celebration as well. As you saw, our friends in Tigress certainly made this a great night too. This is just the beginning of great things for them. I'm proud to introduce their new manager, Amy Adamson!"

I was very surprised to hear this. I'd known Amy for quite some time, going back to our photo shoots with Rihanna. I suppose she was always pretty ambitious but this I didn't see coming at all. But now, I understood what she meant by re-launching the group. Amy stood and took a bow after hugging Chuck.

"Alright! How about another song, ladies?" Chuck called out to the girls.

I was glad to see them back onstage after all that happened on New Years, and they didn't disappoint. Jennifer had made her way down from the stage area to where I stood.

"Hey! How'd I do?" she asked

"I guess blondes really do have more fun, Miss Monroe."

"Well, this one does, that's for sure!" she laughed

She did look great in her sparkly flapper dress and platinum blonde wig.

"But this get up gets pretty hot after awhile" she said fanning herself "Come on, you can help me get outta this thing."

Jennifer led me back inside the main house and down a hallway to what seemed like a powder room.

"Could you unzip me?" she asked as she took off the blonde wig and shook her brunette hair loose.

I loosened the zipper and slid it down her shapely back.

As I expected, she wasn't wearing a bra underneath, and unless she had on the tiniest of thongs, no panties either.

"Thanks, babe." She said as she closed the door and then tried unsuccessfully to lock it.

"Oh, great!" she muttered "Guess you'll have to guard the door too."

"Sure, glad to." I said as I turned my back to the door.

Jennifer had grabbed a small gym bag as she went in the house and I could hear the rustling of clothes as she got changed.

"Uh, great dress you had on." I said

"Thanks! I got it from the costume department at one of the studios. I think they'd used it on some film about her life." She said "But it was not meant for a night in Hawaii, that's for sure."

The door opened again

"OK, you can look." She said behind me

She'd changed into a bright red flower print dress that ended just above her knees, very Hawaiian with a thin strap that wrapped up around her neck.

"Aloha." She said with that giggly smile.

"Aloha, back." I replied

"You like?"

"Me like." I said

We both laughed

"Back to the party, Mister Jim." She said as she took my arm and led me back outside.

Jennifer Love Hewitt was taking my arm, calling me "Mister Jim."

This has gotta be a dream!

Nope, it's for real "Hollywood"

If that's the case I better enjoy every minute of it.

Jennifer looked great as we rejoined the party, she floated around chatting to everyone, me by her side, still wondering if this was all for real. The tiki torches cast a lovely glow on the beach as nightfall approached.

"Hey, you should get some photos of all this, you know." She said to me with that classic smile, noticing the camera dangling from my belt.

"I should, at least so I can prove I was here."

"And, you were with me." She added "you know, show off to all your buddies back home."

I could tell she was being funny

"Yeah, but they'd probably think I did some tricks with Photoshop."

She now looked at with an "oh, come on" expression

"You're not the first to do that, you know." She finally said

"OK, you've got me there."

"Now you're thinking smart." She said before calling to Amy

"Amy! Get a photo of me with Jim, he deserves it."

"Of course!" she said "Not the first shot I've taken like this, you know."

Jennifer quickly fixed her thick black hair a little and then wrapped her arms around my waist, gently resting her head on my shoulder, smiling as only she could. And, I couldn't help it, but I had a fantastic view down the front of her dress. Her tits were amazing, so nicely round. Congratulations to the lucky man, was all I could think of.

Amy took the shot and Jennifer was quick to see the results.

"Oh, you look great, Jim!" she said as she handed the camera to me.

Well, gotta admit she was right.

At least the camera didn't catch my eyes when they drifted downward for a second.

"You look great too."

"Hmmm...Yes, I do. Probably a little too much boobage, you think?" she said looking at me with a skeptical look on her face

"Oh, well, uh..." I was completely flustered

"Didn't expect me to say that, huh?" she said before laughing.

"No I didn't!" I laughing nervously

She took my arm again

"Come on, I need to walk off some of this food." She said casually

"Good idea, Ms. Jennifer."

She paused for a moment

"You can call me Love if you want." She said

"OK, Ms. Love I will."

Jennifer and I started to walk down the beach as darkness descended ever so slowly.

"My god...the sunset, it's beautiful." I gasped

"Take a picture, then!" Jennifer said

"Read my mind."

I grabbed my Nikon and quickly snapped off some shots.

"Take one of me!" Jennifer said as she quickly went towards the water until it was up around her knees. She struck a dramatic pose running her fingers through her thick brunette hair and with the sunset in the background, she looked incredible. As she waded through the ankle deep water she playfully kicked up some at me, giggling as only she could.

"Oh yes, darling!" I said in a cliché` gay voice "Pose for me...love the camera darling!"

Jennifer continued posing for me, even dropping down to her knees in the water with a big splash. We were both laughing uncontrollably now.

"Get over here!" she said between laughs

I walked over and helped her up. She took the camera and expertly held it in her left arm as her right held me.

"Stay still...stay still." She said as she somehow snapped the shutter.

A few seconds later I saw she'd taken a great shot of us with the sunset somehow lined up perfectly behind us.

"Wow, how'd you do that?" I was stunned.

"Hey, I take pictures too." She said with a know-it-all smile.

I continued to look at the shot, we looked so good together. I also had to look to see if I was really so close to this girl that until a few days I'd only seen on magazine covers.

(Note to self; don't EVER delete this photo!)

She stayed close to me as I looked at the image on the view screen.

"We look good like that." She said

I was so taken by everything happening around me

"Y-y-you look so beautiful...I-I just can't believe I'm standing here with you." I said nervously

She smiled sweetly at me

"You're a sweet man." She said slowly as she got even closer to me

Then it happened.

We leaned in and softly kissed. Her lips felt so soft and impulsively I put my arms around her as we stood in the ocean water that gently lapped at our ankles.

Wow, was this really happening?

Our lips slowly parted and she let out a slow and sexy "oooohhh" in a breathy tone.

We could only stare at one another at this moment.

Neither of us knew what to do next.

Had I just kissed this beautiful woman that up until now had only existed on a TV screen and in glossy pictures?

Yes, I had.

Jennifer kept her arms loosely held around my waist and gave me that easy smile of hers.

"Maybe we should be getting back...um...I think Amy wanted to, uh, talk to me about something." She said, somewhat nervously

I knew I didn't want this moment to end, but I think I knew what she was trying to say.

"Yes, uh, right" I said in the same tone "Might be best to not start something we... can't finish."

She nodded, then quickly added

"I forgot how it can get a little cold at night, even out here."

"Y-yes, you're right."

I couldn't help but notice how her nipples showed through her dress

"Come on, we can still walk back together." She said offering her hand to mine

I held her hand and we made our back.

As we began walking back, I heard something, an inner voice;

"Look over your shoulder" it said

I turned and looked.

'My god' I thought

The whole time I had been in front of the house from my last trip, when I met Kim. The same house where I'd had quite the evening with Ashlee and Jessica.

Though the house appeared dark, I knew its design anywhere

"What?" Jennifer said as she saw my expression "You look like you saw a ghost or something."

"No, just a unique house, that's all." I replied

Interesting how the "Ghost Whisperer" was implying I'd seen a ghost.

Once we made it back to the party, our time together ended as we drifted apart, all for the better I guess. Jennifer was soon in conversation with Amy and the Tigress girls and I went to get another Corona. I lost track of how many I'd had by now and I could feel the day catching up with me, perhaps I should call it a night. Jennifer was still talking to Amy, but then turned in my direction and I caught her eye. She gave me a sly smile before resuming her conversation.

"You gonna call it a night, Jimbo?" Chuck asked as he strolled by with his wife.

"Yeah, the day caught up with me fast, probably jet lag."

"Well, get a good sleep. The islands will still be here in the morning."

I went back to my bungalow and flopped down onto the bed that looked out onto the ocean.

The island breezes and ocean sounds quickly lulled me to sleep.

It was a few hours later that I slowly awoke. I still had my board shorts on from yesterday. Now the sun was rising, making the ocean shimmer with colors. The grounds were quiet as I sat up in bed. I grabbed another t-shirt and walked to the sliding door that led outside. A grassy hill gently sloped down to the large deck area and then the beach.

I smiled.

"Man, what a beautiful morning..." I said to myself as I looked around and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.

Across the yard, I saw something else that was beautiful.

It seems Jennifer was also an early-riser. She stood outside the door of her bungalow holding what seemed like a mug of coffee.

"Hey, you're up early too." I called over to her

"Hey! Yes, I'm kind of a light sleeper anyway." She said "Want some coffee?"

"Sure, good idea."

As I walked across the yard, I could see she looked great even in the morning. Her brunette hair was slightly mussed and she wore an oversize Green Bay Packers Super Bowl t-shirt.

"Just made some, I hope I did it right." She said as she led me inside.

Her bungalow was similar to mine with a small sitting area and a little kitchenette off to the side, further back behind a Japanese-style sliding door I could see the bedroom had a large window overlooking the beach and similar doors that led onto the deck. The bedcovers had that slightly used look to them.

"How do you take it?" she asked from the kitchen area

"Oh, cream and sugar." I replied "This is original." I said as I examined the mug

"He must've gotten a great discount on these." Jennifer said with a laugh
