O'Neil, Bridget, MCPO Boatswain of The Wanderer. - (Literally owns the ship as she actually signed for it). Originally from Éire Nua, 52 years as of her appointment to the ship in Feb. 2485. First seen in chapter twenty-six.

Oshiiru, Kimiko (Kim)a.k.a. 'Ninja'- Liea's personal bodyguard, 23 in 2483, Asian, 152cm, delicate looking but anything but, black hair, brown eyes, deadly with any bladed weapon, deadly without a weapon. She has been training in the martial arts since she was a child. Kimiko means 'child without equal' in old Japanese and Kim lives up to that. She has no equal in fighting skills within VSC and in fact trains members of VSC, the local Marines at the Navy base on Liramor Prime, and IPPF under a VSC contract. The only person who might be her equal is Raymond Clark who she gives a serious run for his money in a martial arts bout. Highly intelligent, speaks 6 languages fluently, including French. First seen in chapter six.

Roust, Jennifer, CPO3Chief Petty Officer Third Class, a.k.a. 'Mamma' (new nickname responding to her surprise pregnancy) - Assistant Comms O. Blond haired blue-eyed woman originally from Neues Deutschland. Lover of CPO3 Pilot, with whom she is having a surprise pregnancy, the first on The Wanderer. First seen in chapter twenty-one.

Samson, LieaDPhila (h.c.) a.k.a. 'Model' (formerly 'Boss' until she did gym nearly nude) - billionaire philanthropist and co-owner of The Wanderer with Raymond Clark. Occasional lover of Raymond, Annette, and others. First seen in the prologue.

Seito, Ayesha, DNPDNP (Doctorate Nurse Practitioner), a.k.a. 'Doc' - Minor character who takes over the duties as Sean Murphy's private nurse during the regeneration of his legs after Heyya becomes a doctor. Lover of both Sean Murphy and Heyya and eventually becomes Sean's fiancée. Joins The Wanderer, along with Sean Murphy, as a Nurse Practitioner in chapter twenty-one. Only 160cm tall, she is a diminutive and feisty and accepted no bullshit from Sean during his recovery. First seen in chapter five.

Silverstri, Marilyn, PO1L-331644-281, Petty Officer First Class - She doctors ship protocol without authorization because she comes from a religious world and is shy of her body. She doesn't want to change with the team, especially males. First seen in chapter twenty.

Talbot, AnalisaRaymond's Bodyguard - initially head of Liea's private security (PSec) and coordinator for her security detail. Total badass femme who's fighting skill is surpassed only by Kim. Minor character but is responsible for Liea's security and is frequently in Liea's shadow. Is eventually hired by Raymond Clark as his bodyguard and as head of the security detail for The Wanderer. First seen in chapter four. (Deceased Ch 23).

Tin-UrOne of the Kirlen that Raymond takes in Shar-Terg in combat from Kit-Zur Rai. A former Rai and senior Rai in her household, her only brood is destroyed in contempt by Kit-Zur and she and her mate, Kord-Ur, suffer unimaginably under the hand of Kit-Zur. They become combat specialist on the ship.

Teusleh, Marc, Lt. Lieutenant (Marines) - One of the Marine detachment officers. First seen in chapter sixteen.

Thom, Harold, Maj.Major (Marines) a.k.a. Clone - Commander of the Marine contingent. Frist seen in chapter sixteen.

Vautor, Arlenea.k.a. 'Thimble' - The ship'sdress maker. She makes dresses, uniforms, and other clothing for the crew. Principally employed to help keep Liea and Raymond in the best of styles but is mostly employed in modifying clothing for the entire crew. She uses her skill at making clothes to design a new line of clothing for the security team, that incorporates features of Emergency Escape Suits into the outfits. She has two other seamstresses working for her. First seen in chapter twenty-three.

Planet Anuura, Caiden System, Fifty-Six Light Years from Terra

Anur Say - Capital City of Anuura, found in the middle of the largest continent on Anuura.

- Andanii DistrictA district is the name of an area of semi-independent control, similar to a state or province. Each district has a capital, a legislature, a governor, and independent police forces. Military forces, national police forces, the standards of law and the courts, and Interplanetary relationships, such as trade, are the responsibility of the Planetary Government.

- Church of AndaniiOne of the major religions on Anuura, mostly found in the Andanii District where the Prophet Andanii hails from, but temples can be found in most cities of Anuura. There is only one temple off planet and that is the temple found at the Johal Compound near the Denders Resort on Terra.

The church has a small following by Union scales, with several millions of followers. The church believes in the piety of the family and that women should revere their husbands, their role being matriarchs of the household. However, since Wasim Andjuran became the Chief Cleric, he has pushed his own brand of religious views with women being subservient to men. This has resulted in a significant change in the dynamics of the religion, the greater religious community, and within the family dynamics with women suffering a major loss of standing in all three.

-- ClericsThe hierarchy of the religion devolves from the Grand Cleric, elected by and from the Senior Clerics, who provides his wisdom to the religion as a whole. Senior Clerics run districts and major temples. Clerics run smaller temples and often work as teachers in religious schools. Each clerical position is normally comprised of two entities: the Cleric, and the Matriarch, usually a husband and wife team.

The position of Chief Cleric was formally renamed to that of Grand Cleric in order to lose the taint associated with the name while Wassim Andjuran held the title.

-- Grand Council of Andanii A group of twelve members of the Church Andanii, two women and ten men, who are responsible for the inner workings of the church. The Grand Council decides on the use of church funds, the direction of the church, and the selection of Clerics and Senior Clerics. They also select the Matriarch of Andanii in participation of the Matriarchs Council and the Chief Cleric in participation with the Senior Clerics.

Several positions on the Grand Council are dedicated to specific positions of authority within the church, such as the Grand Cleric, the Matriarch of Andanii, and the CFO of the church. When a question is put to the Grand Council by a member of the Council, their position is temporarily filled by another selected by the remaining members of the council.

Wassim Andjuran has worked for years to place his people on the Grand Council, allowing him free reign over the workings of the church.

-- Matriarchs The Matriarchs are supposed to provide religious and secular knowledge to the women of the church, and the women's viewpoint to the Cleric to assist him in adjudicating in religious matters where women are involved. However, that division of labour has been poisoned since the advent of Andjuran as Chief Cleric, and Clerics now pay less and less attention to the Matriarchs. While Andjuran has women in his household, he has no formal wife.

-- Matriarchs of AndaniiThe Matriarch of Andanii is the most senior position for women of the religion and, in theory, a position that is elected by and from the Senior Matriarchs. This sometimes means that a Senior Cleric's wife could be the Matriarch of Andanii while the husband remains a Senior Cleric vice becoming the Chief Cleric. While unusual, this is not a rare occurrence. With the advent of Andjuran as Chief Cleric, the position of Matriarch of Andanii has lost most of its prestige and significance.

-- TchollaReligious fervor is such that men and women may chose to dedicate themselves to enter further into the religion without becoming a Cleric. The Tcholla is a person involved in a significant religious pilgrimage or rite in the Church of Andanii, often in the form of an act of contrition for a perceived crime against the religion or the principles of the religion. The Tcholla will usually declare himself or herself to a Cleric with a specific act of contrition or act of pilgrimage in mind.

The Tcholla dedicated themselves completely to Andanii until such time as they achieved a certain goal in life. Those conducting contrition, keep apart from the community but dedicated their lives to one aspect of community in the name of Andanii as their penance. Once they have reached their goal, they are permitted to return fully to community life, to marry and have a family life.

The Tcholla involved with an act of contrition will remain separate from the day-to-day life of the community for a number of years. They will often dedicate themselves to the religious expiation of their contrition by significant acts of support for the community they have separated themselves from. Once the act of contrition is complete, the Tcholla will declare themselves a full member of the community. He/she may direct the Cleric to allow the community to know of the reasons for their act of contrition though sometimes the reasons will remain private and never be explained to the greater community.

-- Fullohd"Unlucky", a term, usually referring to women, used for those who are suffered of great misfortune, such as the untimely death of a young husband. A Fullohd is usually shunned by the greater community for fear their misfortune will be visited against those who aide the Fullohd. They may find it difficult to gather support from the community for themselves or their children and thus will often be shunned by their extended family as well. Eventually, because of their great shame, they will leave the Andanii community or will commit suicide. On occasion, a Fullohd will be given 'shelter' within another household out of pity, usually when a single woman of widow is involved. The Fullohd will dedicate themselves completely to that household for fear of loosing the charity shown them. They become little better than slaves due to their circumstances and are often used cruelly by their supposed benefactors.

Anar, FatimaYounger sister of Hanalei Anar. She speaks for her house with Ikekia Houll, first wife of the house of Ouihya who she meets while shopping for her Chiallie her wedding night gown, about a contract for marriage between Hanalei and Fayad. First seen in chapter fourteen.

Anar, HanaleiCMGPSM, MB, First Wife of Fayad Piscium, who she met at Denders Resort, Terra. Widow of Temet Halar, who she suspects that Andjuran's people had killed. Taken in by Andjuran's household when she is declared 'Fullohd'. She is a spy for Andjuran but gives herself to Fayad when she discovers him to be a pious man with a future. She then works for Fayad and Navy Intelligence against Andjuran at great risk to herself. Soft brown hair, deep blue -- almost purple eyes. First seen in chapter twelve.

Andjuran, Wasim, Sen.Senator for Anuura and Chief Cleric and Senior Elder for the Church of Andanii. Involved in many criminal activities and has his fingers in many different plots. First seen in chapter eight.

Anduura, NajmaddinAide and Intelligence gatherer to Senator Andjuran, communications link between Andjuran and many of the criminal syndicates he associates with. Elder in the Church of Andanii, and Andjuran's right-hand man. He has committed many acts of murder and mayhem on Andjuran's orders. First seen in chapter eight.

Asghar, Saabira Matriarch of the Johal compound. She is technically not the matriarch as she is not married to Wassim Andjuran, who never officially took a wife. Seen often in the series but never named until chapter twenty-three. Deceased in chapter twenty-three.

Boutros, Sa'irMember of the Church of Andanii who speaks out against the Grand Cleric, Wassim Andjuran, and receives twelve lashes of the whip for it. First seen in chapter twenty-four.

NadranA beast of burden native to Planet Anuura. It is similar to a large horse and is often used as a pack animal. These animals proved to be easily domesticated.

Nahdi, Ji'en A woman at the Johal Compound. One of the Fullohd taken in by Andjuran. First seen in chapter twenty-four.

Najjiran UrrabMember of the Church of Andanii who speaks out against the Grand Cleric, Wassim Andjuran, and receives twenty lashes as his fate. He dies from the injuries the whip causes. First seen in chapter twenty-four.

Noor, OmairFather of Henadi Noor and patriarch of the family. First named in chapter twenty-four.

Noor, Henadi, Capt.PhD PA, M Engr, PGMDS-TU, OMM, MMB, Captain (Navy) -- Commander of The Wanderer. Third daughter of Omair Noor and the only women in the household to make her living in space. From a religious right household, she received permission to complete a degree in early child development off planet then changed her degree to Engineering and joined the TUSN so that she wouldn't have to go back to Anuura. As a form of contrition, she used the money she was going to repay her family with to rebuild the Temple of Andanii at the Johal compound, changing it into the beautiful little temple it now is.
