In another kind of story, I would, at this point, have declared my lust for her, and taken her off to a secluded spot and ravaged her. But not today. Thanks to the swim lesson, the raging arousal of earlier had subsided to a pleasant hum, and I still thought any such declarations would be pointless. But most of all, I had a powerful sense that if we did anything overt, the character of our relationship would change in intense and unpleasant ways. The true thrill lay in the watching, and being watched, and I wanted to experience that thrill many more times.
So I simply said, "Nope, it's all about body acceptance."
With that I lay back, closed my eyes, and didn't even look up when she punched me in the arm and said, "Way to go Goodwin!"
