An Adventurer's Story Ch. 01

"If you are in such a hurry to leave then go." Lea says letting go of Sia's hand.

"I am not in a hurry to go, but I know I will have to soon." Sia replies, the mood now somber.

"Why don't you stay here with us, with me?" Lea suggests.

"I have to find out more about me and see where Lady Kayla leads." Sia answers.

"Will I ever see you again?" Lea says softly.

"Oh yes." Sia says with a smile. "I will be back very soon." Lea looks to her with a smile. "I have to make sure you're safe and I am interested in what Lady Kayla has planned for you."

These answers cheer Lea back up and she smiles big at Sia. Sia removes her adventuring gear from her bag and starts putting them on.

"I almost forgot to give you back your dagger and gem." Lea says pulling the gem from her pocket and pulling the dagger from behind her back.

"Keep them." Sia says. "The gem is useful and beautiful, and the dagger will help keep you safe until my return."

"How long will you be gone?" Lea asks.

"I am not exactly sure." Sia starts, Lea's smile fades. "But it will be before the next full moon, if Lady Kayla permits."

"That's only about ten days away!" Lea smiles, Sia smiles back in reply.

"I'll see you soon." Sia says after getting her gear in place.

"Bye. Be careful." Lea replies.

Sia turns and begins leaving when she feels Lea grab her hand and turn her around.

"I should have done this sooner." Lea says softly as she pulls Sia close to her.

Sia puts her hands-on Lea's hips and Lea wraps her arms around Sia's neck. They both pull the other closer and begin to kiss. At first it is a closed mouth kiss, but Sia opens her mouth slightly and Lea follows. Soon they are in a passionate kiss that lasts for a long moment. When the kiss ends, they hear cheers rise from the town. After all day of flirting and teasing finally the town sees the outcome. Lea blushes as she stands holding Sia tightly. Sia kisses her again, a deeper loving kiss.

"Hurry back." Lea whispers, Sia smiles.

Sia waves good bye to the watching town and slowly walks off following the path. The trail curves to the left just after the town is out of sight. Sia catches movement off to her left in the woods. She sees a small blue something lightly blowing in the breeze. She examines the item and discovers it is a piece of fabric attached to a metal pole. This is the other end of that pole she saw in the ceiling when she was in the tunnel, a town marker. She pulls the fifteen-foot rod out of the ground and puts it in her bag, then continues on her way.
