Ann: A Love Story Ch. 56

Reading the letter, I understood why. Tina said she hadn't been able to really set anything up for Ann to make the night special like she had in Utah. She stated that she had things lined up for the next two nights. She gave me the details on the next night...where we'd be staying in Omaha, Nebraska, and what she had planned. She wanted me to know ahead of time, because she felt so bad about not being able to come up with anything special for our night in Colorado. Tina also wrote that for the last night of our trip, she had made some really special plans...ones that she was still working on. But she promised that she was going to make it a night to remember for both me and Ann.

The rest of the packet contained information on the next nights stay in Nebraska, giving me directions, as well as information on the entertainment she had planned. And frankly, I was blown away.

"She's really a good friend," Julie said, stating the obvious.

"Yes...she is. More than I ever knew," I smiled, realizing just how special Tina really was to me.

"And that's why it hurt her so much, not to be able to figure out something for you and Ann to do tonight. This place has a lot to offer, Neil. But we're a getaway. People that come here aren't looking for night life, or culture. They're looking to get away and be alone. Like your friends Tommy and Angel. I remember them. This place is for lovers...that's what we do here. I kept telling Tina that it would be okay; that once you and Ann got here, you'd realize what an amazing place this resort is...and you'd take advantage of it. But I could feel the hurt in her voice this afternoon when she called me after I got that fax you're holding."

I had an evil little grin cross my face, thinking that it was a good thing that between Ann and myself, we HAD come up with plans of our own. Plans to take advantage of what the resort did have to offer.

Julie saw my face, and said, "That's an interesting reaction to Tina's letter."

"Ha...well, the truth is I DO want to take advantage of this place. I kind of had a feeling that this might happen. I don't know why, but I thought about where it was, and I figured of all the places we might stay, this one might be hard for Tina to..."

"Work with. I know. I told her we're just too remote. But she really tried, Neil."

"I know. But it's okay. I already have plans for Ann. Actually, I have plans for Annabelle. It just kind of happened on the way here, but I think it was meant to be all along. We have a thing about fate...and I think maybe this might be just that, depending on what we can do here."

"Annabelle...who's Annabelle? And what do you WANT to do here?" Julie asked, her eyebrow arching as she smiled at the way I'd said that last part. I'd said it more in an inquisitive way, kind of looking at her for a sign as to how she might be able to help me out.

"Is there anybody else in the lodge right now?"

"No...just you and me. You don't...uh...what do you have in mind Neil?" she asked, starting to blush. It was obvious from the way she responded to my question that she thought I was thinking of her in some way. Specifically, some way that sexual and might involve her. I should have anticipated that if she'd talked to Tina as many times as she said she had, that details of OUR adventure might spill out.

Putting my hand up, I said, "Not what you think, Julie. I guess my reputation kind of preceded me, didn't it?"

"Well, like I said, I do feel like I'm a part of this story. But I'm not interested in being INVOLVED in the plot, if you know what I mean.

"I'm going on a limb and thinking that you know about what Ann did for me and Tina, right?'

"Yeah...and..."

I put my hand up again, and said, "It's okay, Julie. That actually makes this easier to explain. I assume you know that I was Bond."

Julie laughed and said, "And Tina was Pussy Galore. That's a riot!"

"Uh huh. Right...Tina and I were playing roles in an adventure. Well, Ann and I doing that right now. That's what tonight is going to be all about. You said it yourself...we're going to use this place to our advantage, if you'll let me, that is."

"So, are you Bond right now?" she giggled.

"No," I chuckled. "I'm Neil. But Ann is Annabelle."

"Okay, if you're still Neil, what is the significance of Ann being Annabelle?"

I looked at Julie, trying to gauge her. I knew what I wanted to do, but I needed to know just how receptive she would really be to it. And I decided that since Tina was involved, the smart way to approach Julie was to just be blunt about it, because that's what Tina would have done.

"You know this is all about sex, right?" I grinned.

She grinned back and said, "Yeah, I think I might have gotten a couple hints regarding that."

"Actually, that's not true...it's about a lot more than that. And I'm sure you know that too. But this IS an adventure we're on, and it does revolve around that subject. I just wanted you to know for sure...okay?"

"Why are you telling me what I already know?"

"Because you may not know the extent, and I just don't want you surprised. And I don't want you to judge Ann."

"Judge her? I already told you I'm envious," she laughed.

"Good. So, do you still want to meet her?" I asked.

"Of course!"

"Okay...I'll go get her. Wait here...we'll be right back! And remember...no judging."

"Neil, why on earth would I judge her?"

"Because...Annabelle's my love slave tonight," I said excitedly.
