"They're here!" He shouted.
Victoria's green eyes widened and she rushed outside, her blonde hair flying behind her. Brandon could only have been referring himself to three persons, and she was very eager to meet one of them. She barely registered the noise of Ashley shouting for Heather as she ran down the steps along with Brandon.
Zack transferred Gavin's left arm to Brandon just in time to have his vision blocked by a mass of golden tresses while a pair of arms latched on to his neck. Zack instinct was to hug Victoria back, however, the memory of Gavin's earlier reveal made him stop his arms in mid-air. This was the lovely, sweet girl on who he had a crush for the past two years, the same girl who gave him a blowjob in a cave just the morning before. But this was also the girl who gave his best friend an issue that affected the entirety of her teenage life in a terrible way. He mentally sighed, problems seemed to be piling up in an alarming rate on his life right now.
In the end, Zack returned the hug, gingerly wrapping his arms around Victoria's waist. All things considered, he couldn't deny that he missed her as well, the memory of what she did for him in the cave was still vivid inside his mind, like it had happened just moments ago.
"I missed you." Victoria said, her voice muffled by her face being pressed against his neck.
Zack smiled faintly and pulled back to look her in the eyes. "Me too, but it's only been a day," He said, tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. "I promised that I'd bring them back and I'm glad that I did."
"Oh yeah," Victoria said enthusiastically, breaking the hug. "You have to tell us how everything went, did you find out more about the bear costumes?"
Zack chuckled. "Easy there, first I want to take a shower, lie down for a while and punch Kurt in the face." He said as they began walking towards the steps.
At that moment, Heather appeared at the top of the steps, holding onto the rails as she looked down at them. Zack had to stop walking to look back at the blue-eyed brunette, her long dark brown flying around her face due to a sudden gush of wind.
"Gods, she's gorgeous," He thought. "Both of them are."
A flicker of disappointment passed over Heather's face at seeing Zack and Victoria walking side by side before a smirk formed itself on her lips. "You took too long." She said in a playful way.
Zack grinned. "My apologies, ma'am," He said, theatrically. "It wasn't my intention, blame my friends instead, they refused themselves to be found."
Heather laughed as Victoria frowned at them. "C'mon, you must be tired as hell." The brunette motioned for him to walk up the steps and join the others at the cabin.
Despite everything that happened, the blue-eyed young man felt at peace on that moment. Joking and playing with Heather and being next to Victoria filled his chest with a calm, pleasant feeling, a sensation that could only be described by one word, normalcy.
Once the three of them entered the cabin, Victoria was immediately recruited by Ashley and Brandon to help make the couch more comfortable for Gavin to sit on and rest his ankle, leaving Zack alone with Heather at the kitchen.
"So," Zack said a little awkwardly. "What's this that I've heard about you opening a house of pleasure?"
Heather blinked twice before she laughed at his use of her joke from when they talked on the phone the morning before. "It didn't pan out, I couldn't find anyone to hire," She said, her eyes full of mischief. "And, well, I wouldn't be able to take on the workload all by myself."
Zack grinned, somehow he doubted that. "Pity, I think it would've been a huge hit," He said without thinking. "With all the," He cleared his throat and glanced at the others at the living room. "All the merchandise around here."
Heather's smirk widened, becoming almost predatory-like. "Well, if you really want it," She said seductively as she took a step towards him. "We may be able to offer you a sample before we go out of business for good."
Zack gulped, his icy blue eyes going from her deliciously looking cleavage to her beautiful smirking face, made all the more marvelous by her electric blue eyes. Blue stared into blue and Zack felt a very strong urge to kiss her, to claim her mouth like he did at the cave behind the waterfall.
"What the fuck, somehow we're right where we were before I left to find Chloe and Gavin." He thought, amazed by the easy chemistry he had with the cheerleading captain.
Heather's thoughts were along the same lines, her mind giving her flashes of the fantasy of Zack that she enjoyed the night before. Suddenly, what they had experienced behind the waterfall wasn't enough for the brunette, she wanted Zack to take her for real. Against the counter, in front of everyone, if necessary.
However, before either of them could act on the impulse, the spell was broken by someone joining them behind the kitchen counter.
"Hey, Zack!" Victoria's chirpy voice brought them back from the fantasy land inside the darker recesses of their minds. "Aren't you going to tell us what happened after I left with Jennifer?"
Zack opened his mouth to reply, but the green-eyed blonde beat him to the punch.
"I know that you said you wanted to do a few things first, but I'm dying to know," She said to him, her face morphing into a lost puppy's look. "Please?"
He raised an eyebrow, a bit spooked by the way Victoria just acted, although he couldn't help but find it adorable. The pout on her pretty face reminded him of her lips wrapped around his dick at the cave, her green eyes staring at him as she sucked him until he shot his load in the air.
Zack mentally sighed, even after his time with Lisa, being next to Heather and Victoria made his cock stir madly due to the strong feelings and sensations the two girls provoked inside him.
"Ok, then, I'll tell you two," Zack said, leaning on the counter. "Not much happened." He then proceeded to recount to the two girls how he found Chloe passed out next to a stream after Victoria left with Jennifer, next he spoke about joining Jennifer and the other ranger, Colin, in a search inside the cave to find the bear costumes and coming out empty handed.
"Wait, the suits just happened to vanish during the time you went looking and found Chloe?" Victoria interrupted with a skeptical look on her features.
Zack nodded. "I found it weird too," He admitted. "But that's how it happened."
"And that guy Colin was waiting for you at the entrance?" Heather asked before she and Victoria looked at each other meaningfully, the two apparently reaching the same conclusion.
Victoria looked back at Zack. "Have you considered that Colin was the one who hid the costumes?" She asked, trying to contain the giddiness she was feeling at getting to give her input on a real mystery.
Zack frowned. "I hadn't thought about it," A few things began to make sense now, like Colin's reluctance to enter the cave and his smugness when they didn't find the suits. "Now that you two mentioned it, I'm starting to think that it's a possibility."
"Still, I think we should stay away from it ourselves," Heather opined. "Leave it for the rangers or the police."
Zack chuckled. "Funny you mentioned the police," He grinned. "They're already here."
Victoria's eyes widened. "So it's serious, then?"
"I don't know," Zack shrugged his shoulders. "Mr. Rivera didn't want to talk about details."
"Mr. Rivera as in Lisa Rivera's father?" Victoria asked. "Your ex's father? She's here?"
"Yeah, they were the ones who found Gavin passed out in the woods," Zack explained. "The rangers led us to them."
An uncomfortable silence came between the three at the mention of Lisa. "So," Heather trailed. "How's Lisa these days? I think I haven't talked to her ever since you two broke up."
"She's still a little peeved that we ended things," Zack replied, he didn't tell anyone besides Chloe and Gavin about the real reason that caused their break up and he intended to keep it that way. "But we're back to being friends."
At that moment, Ashley leaned on the other side of the counter, reminding Zack that he wanted to talk to her about Victoria. "So, who's going to make lunch today?" She asked chirpily, oblivious to all the serious stuff being discussed amongst the other three.
"Uhn..., I believe it's my turn." Victoria answered, going over to the cupboards and drawers to retrieve ingredients and effectively breaking the conversation.
"Ok, I'm gonna take a shower now, then," He turned to Heather. "Tell me, your cousin wouldn't happen to be at our room, would he?"
The brunette shook her head. "Nope, he went for a walk."
"Good, I want to be rested when I talk to him later." Zack said and then left for the room he shared with Kurt.
Heather watched him leave for a while and then looked at Ashley, who was staring at her. "What?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.
It was the petite blonde's turn to shake her head. "Nothing, just wondering about some stuff," She lied. "That's all."
Heather looked around. "Okay, since I have nothing to do, I think I'm gonna help Vicky with lunch." She said, sidling up to the other blonde.
Ashley watched her two friends, intrigued. This whole thing between the two of them and Zack was becoming too much weird, it was beginning to get really hard to ascertain what Zack's true intentions were concerning Victoria and Heather. She vowed to confront him later, friend or not, Ashley wasn't about to let anyone hurt her friends.

After he showered and put on some clean clothes, Zachary wanted to sit down by himself, so he found himself going through the cabin's front door for the first time since the group arrived there, almost five days ago. The front porch wasn't too big, it had only a small wooden surface with two benches and a roof.
He sat on one of the benches and stared at the three cars parked in front of the cabin. His eyes skimmed over his own car, the blue one, Brandon's red one and Kurt's silver car. Seeing the latter's car made Zack wonder what would be his reaction if he saw the older guy who caused so much grief to his closest friends right now. He chuckled, thinking that his joke about punching the jerk in the face wouldn't be so far from what would actually happen.
Kurt wasn't an athlete like Brandon, but then again, neither was Zack and he didn't have any practice, therefore he had no idea as to what could happen in a physical fight with Heather's cousin.
However, when he saw Kurt emerging from the pathway leading up to the cabin, everything else vanished from Zack's brain. He ran into the older guy's direction like a bull seeing red, readying his fist before Kurt could do anything to stop him.
With a lion-like roar, Zack's right fist connected with Kurt's jaw from the left, making the blonde fall backwards on the stone ground due to the impact. Zack immediately pulled back his hand, he hadn't anticipated the pain on his knuckles.
"Ouch...," Kurt reached his hand to his hurting jaw, rubbing his shin to see if the pain subsided. He pulled back his fingers and noticed that some blood had trickled out of lips. He then gingerly got up on his feet and looked at the younger guy with an unreadable look on his bruised face. "Well, I guess I deserved that one."
Zack was briefly taken aback at the other guy's reaction, but he was quick to jump back into his furious self. "Why?" He asked in a quiet, but firm voice. "Aside from being a horny bastard, I mean." He said before repeating the question. "Why would you leave Chloe and Gavin in the middle of the woods, seduce her into posing for dirty pictures and then send said pictures to me?!" He exclaimed, advancing towards Kurt. "Hell, the girl's like a sister to me!"
Kurt chuckled nervously, so he misjudged Zachary's relationship with Chloe. He raised his head and looked the younger guy in the eye with a smirk. "Well, didn't my cousin tell you?" He asked. "Apparently I'm a monster."
Zack threw his hands in the air, exasperated. "I don't know why I bother trying to understand people." He then turned around and started for the cabin before being interrupted.
"Wait, dammit!" Kurt swore, making Zack turn again. "Ok, get Heather, will you?"
Zack raised an eyebrow. "Heather? Why?"
"'Cause I feel she needs to hear this too and I don't want to tell the same story twice." Kurt replied before leaning against his car.
Zack sighed and nodded, and then going to the cabin's door, he opened it and stuck his head inside. Nearby, Brandon and Ashley were tending to Gavin on one of the couches, Chloe was nowhere to be seen and, at the far end of the cabin, Heather was with Victoria behind the kitchen counter.
"Heather," He called, causing the brunette to turn around and look at the door. "Can you come here for a sec?"
An inquisitive look came over Heather's face, but she complied with his request and went to join him outside the cabin. She raised an eyebrow when she saw her cousin was there too. Zack closed the door behind them and the two walked over to Kurt's car.
"Ok, Kurt," Zack prompted. "What was so important that you wanted Heather to be here?"
Kurt sighed. "Heather, you were wondering what had happened to me, weren't you?" He asked, looking at his cousin.
At her nod of confirmation, Kurt went silent for a few seconds before he started telling the story he kept bottled inside his chest for a long time.
"I was fourteen that summer, just a few months before my fifteenth birthday," Kurt began, looking at a point beyond Zack and Heather. "I was at a dinner hosted by the company my dad works on, and that's when I met her."
Heather frowned. "So, there was a girl involved?" She deduced.
"Her name was Andrea, I don't remember well, but I think she was seventeen," Kurt stopped again, as if he was trying to remember the rest of the story. "Point is, she was the daughter of one of my father's coworkers and we hit it off tremendously."
Here the blonde guy took a deep breath and Zack supposed that the next part was a bit more difficult for him to tell.
"She was my first that very night," Kurt revealed, looking briefly into Heather's eyes and then Zack's. "And we spent the rest of that summer having sex under both of our parents' noses. You can imagine how great it was for a kid to have a girl three years older than him that interested in him."
"I get the feeling that things didn't end so well, am I right?" Zack asked, crossing his arms.
Kurt nodded. "Everything came to a crash the day before school would start again, I was in cloud nine thinking that I would start on high school already dating a senior. Boy, how wrong I was."
Heather's frown deepened, already imagining where Kurt's story was going to. She had seen a few of the girls in her year doing that same thing to younger boys.
"When I went to her house that night, Andrea took me aside and broke things off. I was perplexed and asked her why. Her answer was," Kurt paused again, taking two deep breaths before continuing. "She said that I was too dumb and naïve if I thought that a senior like her would date a freshman in front of her friends and everyone else."
Zack's eyes widened. "It can't be, no one's that cruel."
Kurt chuckled. "Well, lucky you that you don't know people like Andrea," He said, crossing his arms. "Anyways, I was devastated and cried my eyes out that night, but I did what was left for me to do, I swallowed my sadness and went to school the next day, but that wasn't the end of my suffering," He looked at the ground. "That day I made a friend on one of my classes and found out that his older brother was in Andrea's year. Naturally, I made the mistake of going to him and ask about her."
"And?" Zack prompted. "What did he say?"
"He told me that Andrea already had a steady boyfriend since the previous year, but that she also screwed a lot of guys on the side and said boyfriend had no idea about it," Kurt replied. "And that was the day I started seeing all women as a bunch of horny sluts."
Heather opened her mouth, but no sound came out of it, Kurt's story shocked her. Even the girls she knew hadn't been that much cruel. A sudden urge to punch that insensitive whore Andrea for messing with her family came over the cheerleading captain. "She destroyed my cousin and turned him into a monster," Her anger was so intense that she couldn't bear to stay there anymore. "Excuse me, I'll go see if Victoria needs help with lunch."
Zack and Kurt watched as the brunette got back into the cabin and closed the door after her. "Well, then you can imagine what went next, I began to seduce girls into letting me fuck them and then I'd left as if nothing had happened," Kurt resumed his tale. "I was blaming them for what Andrea did."
"That's too fucked up, man." Zack piped in.
"Indeed it is, I even made a pass at my mom a few weeks ago," Kurt revealed, causing Zack to widen his eyes in shock. "I was lucky that she didn't notice, otherwise I would've been really screwed."
Seeing that Zack was speechless after his last reveal, the older guy continued talking. "But, as I was saying, all that seducing and dumping girls worked fine for me until the incident with Chloe and Gavin," He said. "I didn't give a second thought when I left them in the woods, but when I learned that the two of them ended up missing, I felt something that I haven't felt in a long time, guilt," A nervous smile grew on Kurt's lips. "Then Heather came and called me a monster, I guess that was what it took for a little piece of the old me to, I don't know, resurface from inside the shell I created when Andrea dumped me."
A silence came up between the two boys and remained for several seconds before Zack opened his mouth. "Look, Kurt, I don't know what to say," He stared at the blonde guy. "I mean, it's awful and all, but what do you want me to do with it?"
"I don't know how much of the old me I'll be able to get back, hell, I may never be the same again," Kurt said in a slight desperate voice. "But the person I was during the last five years was a lonely man who doesn't have many friends, and I'd like to change that. I'll understand if none of you guys want anything to do with me and I'll stay out of everyone's way if that's the case, but I really wanted to start mingling more in the cabin, you know, to be a part of things and get to know everyone better."
Zack was struck silent again, he could never have imagined that he would hear those words from Kurt. Ever since Monday, one constant in the cabin was that Kurt was a heartless jerk and that was it. However, Zack felt that he couldn't ignore Kurt's plead, not in his own current situation. He chuckled nervously.
"As weird as it sounds, I can relate to you as a guy who has a lot of problems with girls," Zack confessed. "And I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't forgive you after what happened to me between last night and this morning."
At Kurt's look of confusion, Zack began telling him. "I had sex with my ex-girlfriend last night," He said and Kurt raised an eyebrow. "A sweet, wonderful girl who still has feelings for me and I've fucked her anyways, just to release my own tension."
"Ouch, that sounds like something I'd do." Kurt chimed in.
"Anyway, she hinted that she wanted to get back together and I rebuffed her," Zack continued. "Then this morning, she found it in her heart to forgive me. That's why I said that I would be a hypocrite if I didn't forgive you for doing the same."
Kurt nodded and lifted his head to look Zack in the eye. "So, what now?"
Zack shrugged. "I don't how many of the others you'll be able to befriend, but as for me," He extended his hand. "Friends?"
