Click hereLucas burst in the door of the condo, and ran to the patio. I'd put a raincoat on and went with him. As we came out, we could hear the whirring sound off towards the other end of the patio. Lucas looked around, and then pulled out his weapon.
Lucas moved to the solid balcony railing and rested his handgun. He said to me, "Go over by the round table. I need you moving around so he focuses on you and not me."
I walked across the patio, and made clean up motions at the large table that still had some of the remnants from our barbecue buffet on it. I slowly stacked things, occasionally looking around the skies as though I heard a noise but couldn't tell where it was coming from. In general, I tried to keep my back to the drone.
I was aware that the drone was very near the balcony railing behind me as I puttered at the table. I made my skyward scan again, feigning confusion as to the sound.
There was then a terrible crash. I turned just in time to see that Lucas had a broom in his hand and he had smashed the drone onto the patio. Several of its propellers still turned trying to lift the injured bird in the air, but three of the six were out of commission, and a fourth was barely turning.
Lucas grabbed a heavy towel from one of the chaises and threw it over the drone. That stopped all the props from turning quite suddenly and blinded the camera.
What happened to the "Mark is guilty about something" line at the end of last chapter...
Elsa is extremely one note and even as one note the balance between Elsa and Mark in terms of participation in the story is way way off. Really hoping both Mark and Elsa have some sort of character growth.
Mark seems to only involve himself with those already in the in group while Elsa seems more primarily on the outgroup and bringing guys into the group that may or may not tangentially have a partner.
I really enjoy this story, what I do not enjoy is all these anonymous geeks who complain about to much sex. I am sure there is a HallMark site some where.
I don't understand some of the complaints. This is a heavily sexed romance. If you aren't in the mood for something more than soft-core, but less than XXX, read something else. Comments should be for applause and constructive criticism.
Love the series even if the segments are short at least the are coming frequently. Keep it up at least until you find a great ending.
Why are there still people on here making the same complaints about the story that they evidently read? It's simple if you don't like it, don't read it. No one is forcing you! Some people's children.
