"Run Sean!" Stefan pushed me away and lunged at the vampire. The vampire was swift and a successful predator. He struck before Stefan could touch him. Stefan fell on his back and I saw a deep gash in his chest. I looked in horror at everyone in the room. Everything had fallen apart in sixty seconds. This ferocious monster had hurt every person I loved in a minute. He now moved towards me. He was taking short menacing steps. I backed and found my way obstructed by a wall. I had been cornered.
"Sean Geller, don't worry. I am not here to kill you. You will come with me. My search has finally ended."
