Since you left open Paul's history and occupation, it would be wonderfully ironic if he turned out to be Bishop's superior or at least someone who can make Bishop's life hellish.

Dear Author, Yes, you need to add to this story of star crossed lovers. Like, what does he do for a living? Save on utilities and rent and move together into her or his apartment.
