If you are new to this series please read the intro to Ch 01 so you'll know what to expect. It isn't strictly necessary to read the earlier chapters but some of this won't make sense if you don't so I hope you will!
Just some general information here but there is another opportunity to insert all female sex, this time a threesome and toys!)
Solicitors and Jo: (No sex)
My feeling of euphoria continued into Friday morning and I was pleased to see his face as he came to the shop to pick me up for lunch. He'd mentioned something about a solicitor so I was quite intrigued as to what was going to happen. He took me first to the little café next door and we sat down with a coffee.
"I need to explain about today," he said, "I don't want you to feel sad but this is something that I must do so go along with me please."
This worried me, "What do you mean?" I said with some concern.
"Really, don't worry. I've changed my will and some details about the house. I've got to make sure that you and the baby (and I hope there will be one) will be properly provided for if anything happens to me."
He must have seen my face drop at this because he immediately said, "There's nothing to worry about, I'm not ill or anything, but I have to do this now so that I know you will be OK. You just have to sign a few papers. The problem is that my girls will probably be upset about all this and I have to make sure that there is no messing about, you know, afterwards. I don't want everyone fighting over the leftovers, as it were."
"Well, I won't fight," I said tearfully, "I don't want any money or anything, I just want you!"
"I thought you might say that," he said smiling tenderly and taking my hands in his, "but I won't be happy unless everyone is cared for so we're going to see my solicitor to sign the necessary documents. If you don't understand anything there just say so, OK?"
I smiled back at him, "OK, I won't be sad talking about this. You know it makes me sad, don't you?"
"Mmm, I know," he said, "but it must be done. Come on, let's go."
We got to the solicitors and he introduced me to Nerys, a lady perhaps 10 years younger than him and still strikingly attractive. "Nerys is an old friend," he said giving her a peck on the cheek, "and she's been my solicitor for a long time so she knows all the ins and outs. Nerys, this is Caroline, my fiancée."
Ooohhh , that felt good. 'Fiancée'. I could live with that. Nerys gave me a big smile and a quick kiss. "It's nice to meet the lady who has spiced up his life," she said, "he said you were pretty and I think he is right." I was quite surprised really. I suppose I had expected some disapproval from a solicitor but I could see that Nerys was not the usual run of the mill solicitor. I wondered if there was some history between Mike and her. I'd have to ask him later.
We sat down with more coffee and Mike began to explain the first set of documents. "This is about the house," he said. "So that you won't lose your home, our home, if anything happens to me I'm putting the house in both our names. This means that you will be joint owner, understand?"
I nodded, "I've never owned a house before, do I have to do anything?"
"No," he laughed, "this is just to make sure that there won't be any problems. We'll sign the papers now but the transfer won't take place until we're married in Italy. That's because of the tax problems. I can give my wife half the house but not my fiancée."
I leant over and pecked his cheek, "I like 'fiancée'", I said, "but I'll like 'Mrs' better. Where do I have to sign?"
"Don't forget," he said smiling, "you sign as Mrs. . . . . . if you want!"
"Oh, yes please, I'll do that," I said feeling all happy inside.
So we both signed all the papers, hundreds of times it seemed, where Nerys showed us. "I'll verify and date these when you let me know the date of the wedding," she said.
Then she pushed the next set of papers across. "This is my new will," he said and that made me feel sad again. He smiled, "I'm afraid, Nerys, that she thinks I'm going to drop dead any minute so talking about this tends to upset her."
I punched him playfully, "I'm sorry," I said, "but I can't help it. You know how I feel don't you Nerys?" not expecting an answer.
"Yes, I do actually. Only with me it's the other way round." I raised my eyebrows quizzically. "My partner is a lot younger than me," she said adding with a laugh, "and very demanding: so I worry I won't last the course."
"How is Craig?" Mike asked.
"Oh, he's fine. He finished his fourth year last week so he's lying around doing nothing at the moment, apart from me," she added laughing. "He starts his new job with BA Research next month." I must have looked a bit shocked, "Yes," she said smiling, "he's only in his twenties so, you see, I do understand how you feel."
I smiled back at her. She was obviously a very remarkable woman and I knew that, as Mike had confidence in her, she was good at her job as well.
Mike went on to the will, "You know I'm not short of money don't you, Lena?"
I did I suppose. I'd never really thought about it. He had lots of nice things, he didn't seem to worry about the cost of anything but, you know, he never made a thing of it so I hadn't given it a thought. "I suppose so," I said, "I've never thought about it really."
"Well," he said, "without the house I'm actually worth about six million pounds."
I was gob smacked. "Six million," I said stunned.
"Yes," he said, "mainly in stock, shares and securities. Businesses like Bernardo's company (I own almost half of that), Silvio's restaurant, things like that. There's quite a bit of cash but it's mostly tied up. Now my old will split everything four ways. That's one quarter each for my daughters and one quarter split equally between my grandchildren, in trust until they reach 18. I've changed that now. Obviously the house will be yours as will all the contents, they're covered in the will. The rest, after the Government has taken it's fill, will now be split five ways, one fifth each to my daughters and to you and one fifth split equally between my grandchildren and our baby. That will leave you with about £600,000. I've also arranged for a one off payment for Joanna of £100,000. Is that OK?"
My mind was doing summersaults, that was an awful lot of money. I must have looked shocked. "Don't worry about it," he said, "Nerys and her firm will take care of everything. She's one of the few solicitors you can trust and she only employs good eggs so they're all OK," he ended smiling at her.
"Thanks for that vote of confidence," she said laughing, "it's a good thing that I'm the only solicitor here! But he's right Lena, can I call you Lena?" I nodded, 'yes'. "If anything does happen it will take a lot of unravelling so you will have a joint bank account so you won't be short of cash. We'll arrange all that when you come back. This is a letter being sent to each of Mike's daughters and there's one for you. I'm afraid that he thinks they might challenge the new will. You all have to sign it to say you won't challenge it and, if you do, you forfeit any inheritance. Obviously for you it's just a formality but we have to be even-handed. Is that OK,"
"Mmm," I said, "I feel a bit mean really. I suppose that they think I'm a gold digger, you after Mike for his money."
"Sadly," he said, "they may do but that's their problem. They don't do badly in this will and they'll have to put up with it. It's important to me that you will be provided for when the time comes."
Nerys called a couple of her staff into the office to witness all the papers. Mike seemed to know them well. I also notice that Silvio's son David was working in the office so this was obviously a tightly knit concern.
With all the papers signed we said goodbye to Nerys who left us with a kiss each and a wish for everything to go well. She seemed to know about the baby plans so I assumed he must have discussed it with her. We went to our usual small restaurant for lunch, sitting in a private corner where we could talk.
"I'm sorry if I've upset you," he said showing some concern for my quietness. I was a bit overwhelmed by everything that had happened, all the things Nerys had told me and I was still trying to take it all in.
"No, you haven't upset me," I said giving him a little kiss and smiling back at him, "it's all a bit overwhelming you know, suddenly finding out that you're going to marry a rich man."
"Oh, I'm not that rich. I've just been lucky with my investments. I've always tried to help my friends when they needed money and in almost every case they have been successful so I've benefited. As I said before, there's not much actual cash, most of what I live on is benefits from the investments. That's where Nerys comes in. She handles all of the finances along with her brother who runs an accountancy firm."
I laughed at him, "And I suppose you helped them as well?"
"Yes," he said laughing, "I did about twenty years ago. Thankfully they are both very successful."
"Have you had a thing with Nerys, she's very lovely?" I know I was prying but that's in my nature unfortunately. I just wanted to know all about my man!
"Some years ago, after my divorce we went out together a few times and," he laughed back at me, "yes, we did do it a few times, well several times, then."
"Nothing came of it?"
"We like each other, always have. I've known her for a long time but she's quite sparky. We did try living together for a while but it didn't work really. I was to set in my ways I think. There was no bad feeling but we parted. As you can see, we're still the best of friends."
I smiled back at him, happy in the knowledge that we could talk like this. I was happier now with what had happened and, I suppose, rather pleased that I wouldn't have to worry about money ever again although I didn't think I'd stop working. I like meeting people so I would miss that. We had lunch and continued to chat until he took me back to the shop leaving me with a kiss and a "see you Sunday". I'd told him as he left that Jo and I were going shopping on Saturday so he was sure to expect a surprise.
Saturday was a good day. Both Jo and I were very excited about Sunday. I could tell that she was still a bit worried about her 'performance' in bed with him, she still hadn't shaken off the things that Steve had said to her. I'd actually mentioned this to Mike on Friday over lunch and he said that he would be sure to pay particular attention to her if I didn't mind. I'd said I didn't, all my jealousy had disappeared now we were to be married. I know I had him completely no matter what happened.
We were shopping on Saturday in the Anne Summers shop, looking for one of those strap-on things for us to use on Sunday if the opportunity came up, when the assistant we had seen before came over to us. Now today we were dressed differently from the last time. Jo looked fantastic as she always did when she took some trouble. Tight jeans and a bare midriff showed of her 24 year old body so well. I'd decided to dress more quietly so that she would get all the admiring looks and she got a lot. Male heads were turning circles following her. I thought this would build her confidence and I think that it did, she was bubbly and full of herself again just like before Steve. I couldn't believe it when she started flirting with the assistant. I must admit she was quite attractive, about 35 I should think and wearing a wedding ring. We all ended up in one of the changing rooms after choosing a strap-on and we had a great time, more of which I might tell you later!
We had a long peaceful and quiet Saturday evening talking about Sunday and how we would behave. It was a bit difficult, I suppose, as we weren't sure how Mike would react. I was fairly certain he would be happy for us to take control for some of the time but I knew he wanted to have some time to pay special attention to Jo so that her confidence would grow. I had no doubt whatsoever that she would be marvellous for him but she still seemed worried about her performance.
I said to her, "Don't be silly, Jo. Mike isn't worried about your 'performance' as you put it. For most of the time he will be concerned about making sure you enjoy yourself. I've told you, he spends far more time making love to me and making me happy than he ever does for himself. Well, that's not true really because he enjoys making me happy and he will enjoy making you happy. I told you, you'll have tons of orgasms and, by the time he's finished with you, you won't care about your performance, you'll be too busy cumming," I ended laughing.
"Are you sure you're not jealous. If he spends time on me he won't be spending it on you."
"No, you're absolutely right," I said smiling, "but I shall be spending that time on both you and him. Neither of us has had two people attending to us at the same time have we? Think how good that's going to be. I can't wait. Come on let's have an early night, we've got a very busy day tomorrow and we want to be up early to get ready." And with that we went to bed, separately I would add. We didn't want to wear each other out!
