"I don't understand Felicia, Mathew. You're healthy, normal in all aspects as I can see, yet you tell me they shun you just because you're..., short?"

Felicia laughed, "Mathew is rubbing off on you. What you should say is 'because I have HGDM', and yes, the herd sees it as something wrong with a child and parents, allowing the human part of the gene mixture to be dominant. They do not see it as something neither the parents nor the child can control. All they see is a little mare."

Zane nodded yes, "You said little mare, doesn't this..., HGDM effect stallions too?"

"Yes," Felicia said, "But most stallions afflicted with HGDM don't survive, the healers theorize that since stallions have a larger amount of testosterone than mares, that it scavenges the body for nutrients and makes their bones and immune systems weaker. Most do not make it to their first birthday. Ninety-nine percent that make it to adulthood are mares. Most have issues because they are shut-ins."

"I had a better life than most because Mother and father decided to move to Oak Valley after I was born, and it took some time but the herd here has accepted me, and didn't force my parents to shut me inside." Felicia placed her hand on Mathew's leg, "It also helped that I had Mathew to play with growing up. And my brothers, they might tease me, but they won't let others bully me to be a shut-in."

"Do you foresee a problem with the Herd Masters and you in regards to asking them to join with my people against the Hobgoblins?"

"No, yet I worry about them accepting me as a mage."

"I don't understand why wouldn't they?"

"Centaurs are not known to be magic users. What I have been told is that I am most likely the first true Centaur mage."

"Well if throwing rocks don't do the trick, you think a fireball would?"

Both Mathew and Felicia laughed. "I don't want my mate burning up a herd Master, nor burning down Midvale, just yet. We are going there to ask them for help."

Zane nodded yes, "True, then we will just have to think up something that would impress them."

All three were thinking of that when they crossed the opening in the low stone fence surrounding Sir Fellis's houses. Eight massive wagons stood on the road already hitched up to four-horse teams. Two more wagons were coming up the southern road. Sir Fellis was securing a tarp over one of them loaded with a dozen beer kegs. Felicia walked up and hugged him.

"Where is mama, daddy?"

"In the house, she isn't coming, she says some has to stay here and take care of the boys that are staying and to bring in the gardens." Felicia drew in a quick breath. "Your brother Rullis is staying as well, told me since I was going to Midvale, a Fellis was needed here to defend what is ours." Sir Fellis was smiling from that statement. "I think your brother is growing up, go say goodbye to your mother and brother, while I finish securing the wagons."

"Yes, papa."

"Mathew, Zane get down and help me tarp the other wagon. Be useful humans for once. Mathew grinned at Zane, "Well it's official, you have been accepted into the Sir Fellis's herd." Zane looked at him questionably. "Once ole four flat feet starts teasing you, your herd."

Sir Fellis shouted, "I heard that son!"

"I hope so. I said it loud enough iron foot!"

Sir Fellis looked up, at the insult. "I don't wear horseshoes, boy!"

Mathew laughed as he climbed up the wagon. Their wagons were made by Centaurs, for centaurs, so they didn't have a driver's seat. Mathew and Zane unrolled the tarp to the back. Sir Fellis and Tarn walked up to start tying the tarp down. Tarn reached up and grabbed Mathews waist and picked him up off the wagon and set him down, "Get off the wagon monkey boy."

Zane watched them after he jumped down. "Quiet pony boy or I will tell your dad about you trying to put the moves on my pony again."

"Tarn, leave Mathews other girlfriends alone."

Tarn and Mathew laughed and grabbed wrists in welcome. Then all four started tying the tarp to the wagon. When everything was secured, Mathew was checking his cinch strap when he saw Rullis walking along checking everyone else's wagons.

Merrill Peterson was standing next to his wagon and turned from watching Rullis to look at Mathew. Mathew nodded towards Rullis, then gave Merrill a look, then nodded back towards Rullis.

He gave Mathew a hard look. Mathew tilted his head and gave him the puppy dog look tapping his heart, and then pointed at Rullis. Merrill closed his eyes and looked up, clenching his fists. Mathew waited until he opened them and nodded yes. Mathew could see Merrill accept his silent plea and walked in front of Rullis. "Make sure my house is still standing when we get back."

Rullis nodded, "Yes Sir."

"Now do you wish to say goodbye to Beatrice?"

"With your permission Sir."

Merrill Peterson looked at Rullis for a few moments then nodded yes. "Within bow shot, and eyesight. But, yes, you have my permission."

Rullis half knelt to him, "Thank you, Sir." Then walked over to Beatrice.

She looked up at her father who nodded yes. They both stepped a little ways away to talk privately.

Mathew grinned and went back to checking his saddle.

When Mathew looked up Merrill was watching Rullis talk with Beatrice. He walked over and checked the harness on the pony. When he was done Merrill was looking at him, Mathew smiled and nodded his head yes to his decision. It looked like Mr. Peterson was going to say something, but instead, he walked away mumbling about, "know it all mages."

Sir Fellis whistled, "Ready up!"

Mathew mounted his mare and trailed the pony up to Felicia and her mother. Leaning down he took her hand from Felicia's and kissed it. "You might get a message in your book from a Master Elite Mage Robert Lindrose. My uncle, let him know if you have any needs."

Perth smiled, "watch over my husband and his herd, Herd Master Lindrose."

Mathew nodded, "I will."

Felicia untied the pack pony saying, "I will tie her to one of dad's wagons."

Tarn pulled the first wagons team forward, the second team didn't need any encouragement and followed. At the crossroads Tarn turned the team west, Mathew rode a little north until he was inside the farm's Clairvoyance spell. Then slowly opened the power to cover the Fellis farm, and some of the houses further south. He turned his mare and nudged her into a trot to catch up. All-day they moved at a fast walk, only in a few places did someone have to 'man' the brakes while someone led the team.

Just before noon, they descended into the long river valley where Sir Fellis and his herd maintained a wide river crossing. Every year after the spring thaw, they took a few days to come down and maintain the crossing. Since it was the main route to Midvale. Every year Mathews' father accompanied them, he guessed next year it would be he and Felicia. They stopped for lunch after crossing the shallow river under the trees. The mares gathered and made a large pot of five-grain and passed out bread and hardtack, while Mathew and Zane ate bacon and tomato sandwiches with a small cup of five-grain.

The rest of the afternoon, the teams struggled to pull the heavy wagons up the gentle incline. Here the teams needed a full-time puller lead centaur and a brakemen. Mathew and Zane rode ahead to the wayfarers stop just below the pass through the hills, to start gathering wood. Both cheated and used magic to lift several fallen trees to the wide flat plateau just below the pass. With four fallen trees, they took the long two-man saw and started to cut the trees into cord lengths. After several hours of sawing, the hard work of splitting them started. They cheated on the bigger trunk pieces, and just magically dis-bounding them, they still had to split a few of the bigger pieces with the ax. They were still splitting the logs when the wagons showed up. Some of the centaurs moved in to relieve them making quick work of the pile of sawn logs. Both washed up as dinner was cooking. Felicia made a pot of chicken and pasta for Mathew and Zane to go along with the travel bread.

The next morning Felicia and Mathew trotted ahead to scout the pass, everything looked good, no bad ruts or wash out. Both could see a line of green, far off in the distance, they should make Midvale by mid-afternoon. As soon as Sir Fellis came into sight, they waved and headed down the pass. They made it down from the pass in good time and crossed the rough cut bridge over the east fork river. They walked under the trees to a wide section of the river that only looked a few feet deep as it flowed north.

Mathew found a grassy bank. He tied the mare up and started stripping his armor.

"Mathew, what are you doing?"

"I need a bath. I still got sawdust in places I don't want to talk about."

Felicia looked around, then at the river. Mathew smiled and chanted a low powered Clairvoyance spell, then moved over to help Felicia out of her armor. Once out of her armor she cautiously stepped into the river finding it was only a few feet deep she kneeled and was able to bring enough water up to rinse her hair. Mathew jumped in splashing her and stood next to her with a bar of soap. He helped her wash her hair and upper body. He was about to kneel and start on her lower point of shoulder when she took the bar of soap from his hands, "We don't have time."

She had him kneel in front of her as she soaped up his body, turning him around she did his back then pulled him in to rub her breasts against his soapy back. With a grin she started washing his stomach and going lower she found him quite hard. With soapy hands, she grasped Mathew at his base and slowly started sliding her hands up, when she reached his glands and started down.

Mathew grabbed her wrist, "If you continue doing that I am not going to last."

Felicia licked his ear, and rubbed her breasts against his back, "Maybe that was my idea."

She slowly started sliding her hand up and down, just short of the head of his cock, slowly building up speed. Mathew started moaning and dancing in her arms. "Oh my god, Felicia...oh my...!" Felicia dipped her other hand in the water and twisted the bar of soap then put it in Mathew's hand. Taking her soapy hands, she encircled his cock with both and started rubbing again. She only allowed one or two strokes to go his full nine-inch length, the rest of the time she kept shy of his glands, on sheer impulse she stroked up and encircled his cock head and twisted her hands sideways. Mathew nearly screamed as Felicia teased his cockhead, then all of a sudden he stiffened as his balls clenched.

Felicia felt him stiffen up, she slid both hands just over his cock head as he came in her hands dancing and moaning. He tried to dance away, but she had both arms around his waist keeping him from getting away. She kept up stroking him just at the tip as he grabbed her hands begging her to stop. Mathew could not take it anymore. He kicked out his legs and slid between her arms under the water. He swam under the water to her side then behind her. He stood up and grabbed her tail, lifting it.

The water had taken the sensitive bite off of his cock, but he was still stiff as hell, he lined up his cock and savagely slammed himself into her. Felicia nearly screamed as he forced himself into her dripping vagina. Just as fast he pulled himself out and slammed his cock back in hitting her ass with his hips with enough force to move her along the rocky bottom. Leaning back from the jolt, Mathew took the opportunity and grabbed her hair and pulled on both, her hair and tail, as he slammed himself back in.

"Who is taming this horse flesh now bitch?"

His words and savage treatment of her body made her lose herself. He slammed into her again.

"Answer me you four-legged cum slut, who is your master?

That did it for Felicia, The pulling of her tail and hair made her body clench up as a massive orgasm hit her nether regions. "You Mathew...!" He didn't stop pulling her tail and slamming himself into her until she felt him stiffen with his ejaculation, just as another of her organism's hit her, she lost it and screamed, "Master please stop!"

Mathew released her hair and sank to his knees in the water, pulling himself out. The cool water rushed in, to temper her vagina but did little to ease the micro pulses from it to her brain. They both allowed the cool water to cool their lust until Mathew patted her rump saying, "We need to dry off and get dressed. The wagon's just came within my clairvoyance spells range."

Sir Fellis worked the wagon's brakes as Tarn led the horses down the last part of the hill and directed them over the wooden bridge. He looked back seeing everyone was doing fine, then looked around and saw Mathew and Felicia sitting in the shade. He was sitting on her back, as she was kneeling in the grass. He was re-braiding her long golden colored hair. Something her mother used to love to brush at nights. Seeing Mathew brush and braid her hair made him smile. He knew they loved each other, but he worried about how the Herd Master would take a human centaur mating. The worry had been growing ever since he started this trip as the closer they got to Midvale.

Sir Fellis yelled, "Tarn direct the team under the trees. And up a little ways to give all the wagons some shade. We will stop here for lunch."

"Yes Sir."

Mathew stood and helped Felicia stand. Both watched all the wagons make it down and under the trees. Zane rode up and dismounted leading his mare next to Mathews. Seeing their wet hair, "How is the water?"

"Great," Mathew and Felicia said at the same time.

"I would like to jump in but I don't know about that with the ladies here."

Felicia smiled at him, "They wouldn't care less Zane. You are going to have to get over having centaurs seeing you naked. Like Woodshome, all bathing pools in Midvale are outside the home and are shared, by several families."

Zane smiled and walked over and started to remove his armor. By the time lunch was bubbling several of the stallions and mares joined Zane seeing that the water was shallow enough for a centaur. Sir Fellis and Tarn were the last to get in and bathe seeing that several of the herd's stallions had already got out and were back in armor. They lingered an extra hour before starting on the middle plains. The tall green grass was a mix of wild wheat and ryes. The green grass was already up to most centaur's knees as several walked through the grass. Felicia trotted out into the grass and Mathew could see it was up to her lower forearm.

Zane rode next to Mathew, "Tell me, Master Mathew, how good is a centaurs hearing?"

"I don't know, I suspect human normal, why?"

Zane smiled, "You know elves are said to have the best hearing?"

"I have heard that," Mathew said with a grin.

Zane laughed, "Yes, while I was last in line coming down the hill, I still could faintly hear an echo in the valley."

"Oh?"

"Yes, and somehow it sounded like, Master please stop."

"Really!"
