Going downhill
I think the problem is you're paying too much attention to the advice you get in comments and feedback. It's making you self conscious while you write, imagining everyone's hanging over your shoulder, having opinions about every sentence you type. Early on in the Mike and Jen stories, I had the feeling you were letting the characters do what came naturally to them and that's the best way to write. Now your writing seems forced. This is the first episode I didn't give 5 stars. I gave it only two stars. If this had been written by any of the usual suspects of LW, I would have given it 4 stars but I know you can do much better. You still have greatness in you. You know how to write hot stuff and, minus the typos and other errors of haste, you still know the craft of writing. Maybe you should just turn off comments and feedback for a while, until your characters start to speak with their own voices again, instead of the voices of your critics. Those who can't write love to criticize those who can.more...
