Click hereMaren would bring them back to the farm, around the time that Mike was going to come out of the medibed.
It was just Rayven and Mark that stayed on the farm with Greta and Molly, while Mike was in the chamber until sometime just after supper tomorrow.
Tomorrow the leaders were going to go over things with Liyana and come up with a plan for the probation process. Then everyone was to meet at the space agency the morning after tomorrow.
Greta, Mark and Rayven would get caught up on what was discussed when they got there.
They had a bunkhouse on the farm, that the harvesting staff would stay in for the few days it took to harvest the fields. So they offered Mark and Rayven accommodations there.
After checking out the bunkhouse, which had just been cleaned and all the twin-size beds had been washed and made, in preparation for the upcoming harvest. The shower room was spotless and setup like the shower room at an arena, just an open area with shower heads around the outer walls. Then there was a counter with 4 sinks and a mirror that ran the length of the counter and then 4 toilet stalls opposite the counter. Just as you exited the shower there was a water dispenser and a refrigerator stocked with beer.
They moved two of the twin-size beds together, then grabbed a beer each, went outside and leaned against the waist-high fence, looking out at the fields gently waving in the evening breeze, with the smell of harvest in the air. It was so peaceful and relaxing, Mark could never tire of the smell of harvest. He also couldn't remember the last time he actually had a beer.
After they had finished their beers, Rayven took the empties inside and went to use the facilities. When she returned she wasn't wearing anything as she wrapped her arms around Mark and gave him a passionate kiss. She undid the front of his pants and freed his now hardening cock, which she gave a few strokes, before guiding it to her wet waiting slit.
They slowly made love against the fence, until a cool breeze came along and they both shivered. Mark grabbed Rayven by the ass as they increased their tempo.
Greta had come out to see if they needed anything and saw the bunkhouse was empty. Greta found them fucking against the fence and as she watched them. Her hand found its way into her pyjama pants and to her very wet pussy.
Greta closed her eyes as she brought herself to orgasm. Rayven, having very keen hearing, had heard her and nodded to Mark, who picked her up by her ass and carried her over to where Greta was. Rayven then snapped Greta out of her bliss by whispering, "Would you like to join us? We haven't cum yet!"
Greta withdrew her hands when she realized she had been caught. She was a bit flustered and hadn't fully comprehended what had been said, so Rayven repeated herself, "Would you like to join us? Neither of us have cum yet!"
Rayven took Greta's hand, sniffed her fingers then licked them, "Mmmmm, you have a sweet tasting pussy. Please join us?"
Greta declined, "I'll admit, it has been a while, but I don't want to intrude."
Rayven explained, "It's been a while for Mark as well... his wife is back in Atlantis."
Greta was shocked, "You two aren't married? Is your wife OK with this?"
Rayven explained, "Most of the Federation is pretty open, sexually speaking. I fuck his wife as often as he does, but one of us is pretty much always with him." At that Mark let her down as Mark's cock popped out of her pussy with a wet smack as Rayven moaned.
Greta was staring at Mark's huge member and then noticed Rayven had a cock, "Whoa, I just realized you have a cock."
Rayven smiled, "Yes I do, would you like to have it inside you?"
Greta moaned as Rayven helped unbutton her flannel sleep top, exposing her voluptuous DD-cup breasts with large dark areolae and hard nipples. She then guided her back to the beds they had setup, Rayven deftly slipping Greta's pyjama pants off as she lay back on the bed.
Rayven passionately kissed Greta and massaged her pillowy breasts, as Mark knelt down beside the bed, between Greta's open legs, and then used his fingers to spread her dark nether lips, exposing her inner pinkness.
Mark licked deep into her pussy, still very wet from her previous orgasm. Savouring her tangy sweet flavour as his tongue worked to extract more of her essence.
Greta was giving Rayven a blowjob as her fingers were exploring Rayven's clit and pussy. Mark thought Rayven was just about to cum as Greta made eye contact with him. She gave a very slight nod of her head as Mark positioned the head of his cock at her pussy and slipped deep into the ebony beauty.
Surprisingly Rayven lasted longer than Mark thought she would and after a couple minutes of fucking, Mark thought he was actually going to cum before Rayven did!
Alas, just as Mark was starting to cum, Rayven erupted in Greta's mouth and the combination of both of them cumming had Greta also succumbing to her orgasm, as her pussy milked every drop of cum from Mark's balls.
After their orgasms subsided and Mark could withdraw his cock from Greta's pussy. Rayven moved in and began licking the leaking white cum from her ebony slit.
Afterwards they went to the showers and cleaned up. Greta then got dressed, gave them both kisses and went back to the house, while Mark and Rayven settled into their makeshift two person bed. Both of them falling asleep soon after their heads hit the pillows.
Mark woke up with the sun and Rayven woke up with him, as they used the facilities and then went off in search of coffee.
They found Molly and Greta sitting on the veranda drinking coffee, and Molly told them that the coffee was on the counter and cups were above it.
They went inside, fixed their coffees and returned to the veranda to sit down and talk. There were no chores to do on the farm, they only had a handful of cows and they were out in a pasture with a water trough that was kept full by pumping water from a nearby stream and then returning the overflow water back to the stream.
Over their morning coffees and breakfast, they sat around and talked, with both women asking all sorts of questions about life in the Federation, until Maren and Liyana flew by around 10am on their way to the space agency. They were delivering a holo conference device, so they could participate in the meeting remotely.
Liyana also suggested that maybe Molly should go into the other medibed and get checked out.
While they were meeting, Maren was going to be setting up a communications array at the space agency and then setting up the gateway between their public data network and the Federation library.
After Maren and Liyana had left, Molly agreed to go into the medibed. So Rayven and Greta got her into the bed, while Mark setup the conference device.
It estimated that she would get out of the medibed a little over an hour before her husband as she had an undiagnosed form of cancer.
The meeting went all day as they went over the Federation laws and how things work in the Federation and what the transition process would be like. This really was the first full implementation of the probationary system, since they skipped a few steps on Athos.
Since it was a one year probation period, everything pretty much continued as normal until after the vote.
In fact, on most planets, despite the accessibility to Federation technology, many things remained the same, the only requirement the Federation had, was to transition away from anything that created pollution within 25 years.
For example, despite having synths, there was still quite a bit of farming and agriculture, it kept people busy. Animals were still raised for meat or their skins, but the process was very controlled and closely monitored. They rode horses, milked cows and goats, sheared sheep, llamas and alpacas and collected eggs from chickens. Any natural products were certified and cost a lot more than the synth stuff, so they were more of a luxury item and primarily sold to restaurants or in boutique shops, but since technology couldn't be traded with non-federated planets, agriculture was one of the most exported commodities to non-federated planets."
Gun and bow hunting were still allowed, in fact anyone could carry a non-lethal weapon for protection, you just needed a license to own the weapon. Ballistic weapons and bows could be also be owned and carried. You just couldn't hunt for sport and any intent to poach animals or harm another person would see that right revoked.
If you killed another person, which violates a primary law, you got a one way ticket to a two door cell, so it was always recommended to carry a non-lethal weapon for protection. Shooting someone with a non-lethal weapon still notified security and there would be an investigation, but at least they wouldn't die.
The first step was the creation of a Sentinel and the implementation of Federation law with security personnel and drones. All existing law enforcement were then invited to join the Federation security, they just had to pass the citizenship test and a short course on security procedures, policies and laws. Upon graduation, they were given the rank of Private, a Federation uniform and weapon and then paired with senior Federation security during the probationary period.
The next step was to construct an outreach centre in every town with a population of more than 100 with the larger centres having multiple buildings, based on population density, to handle the population.
The outreach centres had been refined since Athos. They still offered food, water, clothing, showers, recycling, medical, citizenship testing, voting, identification and they were also public transportation stops, since the lift system was setup between the Federation buildings. They also now had the offices of the elected official for that area complete with Federation communications and meeting technology.
The last step was to rebuild public buildings such as educational institutions, community halls, event centres, museums, hospitals, libraries and stadiums, using construx, so they were safe and didn't need utilities or maintenance. This allowed the governments to use their taxes for the good of all citizens and they were not allowed to increase spending toward any militaries.
All other technologies were available to them, but it was more or less up to the senators as to how quickly things got implemented. The only guideline was they had 25 years to transition away from any pollutants and to clean up the planet.
At the end of the day, it had pretty much been agreed on, that they would make the planet-wide announcement, from the space agency, when they arrived in the morning and they wanted Greta's parents to attend.
They decided to have a late supper that night, since Mike and Molly were both likely going to be very hungry when they woke up.
Around 7pm that night, Maren showed up with the shuttle and the medivac staff, just as Molly was finishing. Half an hour later, Mike was up, walking around and hungry.
Fortunately, while he had been recovering, Mark had started the barbecue, Rayven had fetched some corn and Maren had raided the garden, so a few minutes after the medivac had left, supper was being served.
Mike and Molly both were so much more animated and Greta was all smiles at seeing them both back to their former selves.
Liyana and Gyges were staying at the space agency tonight and Greta decided to sleep in the bunkhouse with Rayven, Mark and Maren, since she suspected her parents were going to be a bit rowdy tonight.
Tonight Greta showed them a ladder on the end of the bunkhouse and they laid on the roof looking up at the stars. Once everyone's beers were done, they went downstairs and this time Rayven fucked Greta and Mark fucked Maren. Then they all had showers and went to sleep in their own beds.
Mark woke up a little after the sun had risen, climbed out of bed, went to the washroom and then to the farm house. Mike and Molly were both was already on the porch drinking coffee as Mark went inside, grabbed his own cup of coffee and then joined them on the porch.
Mike was a very happy man and thanked Mark numerous times for giving his life back to him and Molly thanked him as well since she felt better than she had in years.
They then asked many of the same questions that Greta and the other leaders had asked over the past day and a half. They asked about life on other planets and about life in the Federation.
Eventually all the girls were present, with their own mugs of coffee, and Molly and Greta started making breakfast. Maren had taken the liberty to swing by the garden and grab a couple of carrots for breakfast. Everyone laughed when they saw her dunking her carrot in her coffee.
It was a good farmers breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns. After breakfast was over and the kitchen cleaned up, they boarded the shuttle and headed for the space agency.
They had decided to split the announcement into two segments, the first segment would be leader to nation outlining the test flight, the threat by the Empire, the discovery of the Atlantean Federation and the need to work together as a planet now that they are known to space threats such as the Empire. In that segment they were going to play the clips of the Empire threatening to take over the planet because they were 'weak'.
The second segment was going to be broadcast as a group to the entire planet, announcing the probationary membership with the Atlantean Federation and outlining how that process was going to work and then finally announcing the planet-wide vote date.
Mark would participate in this segment and present the Atlantean Federation flags to each of the nations. This was also where they were going to show Mike in a wheelchair and then Mike today as a demonstration of the medical benefits of being in the Federation.
AFNN was having issues with Mark being far more active than any other monarch they could remember and the fact that he was rarely ever on Atlanterra, made them consider a few options. One idea they had tossed around was assigning a news anchor to Mark and just have them follow him wherever he went, but after seeing the way Mark reacted to the paparazzi on Atlantis, Samira said that probably wouldn't be a good idea. Instead she suggested that they talk to some of Mark's entourage and make them guest reporters, just give them a camera and have them call camera control when they need to broadcast.
Since Liyana had the most public speaking and media experience, Samira ran the idea by her and she agreed to function as the King's personal news anchor for AFNN. Samira had given her some instructions for what to say when opening the segment and closing the segment, then gave her an AFNN camera and remote and taught her how to use it. It really was quite easy, the camera just follows the reporter around once it's activated and then the reporter carries a small remote to notify camera control when they were ready and then they would take over running the camera, which had a speaker for the camera tech to talk through and a countdown display below the camera and a light if it was required.
Since this was also recorded for broadcast to the AFNN, so Mark did a one-on-one press announcement with Liyana, outlining the need for Atlantean specialists in the various areas to make their way to Magellan to help with the transition process, which really didn't require as many resources after some tweaking made at Athos, it was more or less just citizens to man the outreach centres, which included making communal meals and running the medibeds.
Overall it was fairly well received, although since many hadn't actually known about the threat from the Empire, so many were a bit skeptical that the Federation was any different from the Empire.
Fortunately, the Space Agency had recorded the conversations with the Empire, so everyone could see for themselves what they were facing. Plus in the Federation Library about other known space-faring species with the Rylen IV video, it also now had the video interview with Senator Marshall from Athos explaining the 150+ years of war with the Empire.
They brought some attention to that section on the library index, and those people soon changed their minds after seeing what some of the alternatives out there were.
It was also decided for all the non-Federated planets that had an embassy or Federated nation would now be considered associate members of the Atlantean Federation.
That meant Earth was now an associate member and the addition of Magellan, brought the Federation total to 14 planets.
Similar to Athos, the laws were mostly in line with the Federation, so there wasn't going to be many issues.
As with pretty much every planet though, over time the legal system had made amendments to laws to satisfy a race, species, religion, sexuality or sex which convolutes the entire system as a whole. In most cases, if existing laws were actually enforced properly, they wouldn't have had to make those laws.
The Federation didn't believe in bubble-wrapping society, so a lot of those laws went away when joining the Federation. This always caused a bit of turmoil for the groups that those laws were written for, but were often soon forgotten about when they saw the written laws actually being enforced.
The only groups that never moved on was the religious groups, since no religion was recognized by the Federation.
Even recently on Atlantis, as thousands of people from around Earth had moved there, a few of them had started protest groups saying that not allowing them to practice and grow the influence of their religion was a form of bullying. Town criers wouldn't accept their promotions and they kept getting arrested if they tried to do it themselves.
They were just told that Atlantean law defines bullying as the harming of a person by physical violence, threats or public shaming. Even bullying someone with words wasn't really considered bullying unless it was being done in a public venue, then it was considered public shaming. Bullying someone using words and holding something over them, such as pictures or videos of the victim doing something, was considered a threat or harassment, and with Atlantean technology it was pretty easy to get proof of a threat.
Not supporting religion is not considered bullying since gods aren't real anyway and there's no harm to a person if they don't have religion. If they wanted to live by and support a religion, there were many places in the world where they could go to do that, the Federation just wasn't one of those places.
Over the course the month long transition several things had happened.
Numerous transports had shown up to staff the outreach centres and to eventually take over the security service and train the local police forces.
All outreach centres had been setup and there was at least 2 Federation citizens manning each outreach centre and locals were even volunteering to work the meals. They would receive a share of the donations just like a communal meal pavilion and, just like Atlantis, it was now becoming standard practice to only provide breakfast and supper.
Besides the free public meals, all the services were quite popular, the medibeds were almost constantly in use and everyone loved the new public transit lift system.
It had taken the deployment pods a couple of weeks to distribute security drones around the planet, just like most planets, most of the population lived near shorelines and closer to the equator. After two weeks of distribution they made the announcement that the security system was going online, but was not going to be enforced until the originally planned date.
The glow bubble feature of the security drones had an immediate affect right from the start. Even though the drones weren't doing anything about a crime, putting glow bubbles around people violating laws allowed the police to catch troublemakers red-handed and lock them up. It also demonstrated that, in the Federation, it was pretty tough to get away with a crime as you never knew if security was nearby. Almost overnight, the amount of crime on the planet plummeted sharply and people became elated and many praised the Federation for making things safer.
