Alice opened the door and hesitantly entered her alpha's office.
"What is it Alice?"
"I just thought you should know Emma is coming home next month."
Ian stared silently at Alice until she shifted nervously. "Is that all?" He asked tonelessly.
"Uh...yes, sir"
"Thank you Alice. Please shut the door behind you." He said as he returned to the paperwork in front of him.
Alice tilted her chin down as she backed out of the room. Once the heavy door clicked shut, the pen in Ian's grip exploded ink all over his desk and papers.
