After Leroy calmed down a minute he went to take a shower, he needed to see his mother and try to set things right with her. When he came back into the room to dress, he looked at Dave sitting on the bed still naked and in a little bit of shock. "I am going to go see my mom, do you want to come?"
Dave just looked at him with a look of remorse, he knew Leroy was going to tell his mother but he didn't want her finding out like this. "Yeah I will come." Dave stood up and hugged Leroy. "Let me grab a shower." Once Dave was dressed they headed over to see Sue.
"How did your Mom know you were home?" Dave asked after Leroy had been quiet for a long time.
"I called her last night after I came home from the grocery store; I told her I was tired that I would come by to see her today in the afternoon. I guess she wanted to see me sooner." Leroy shrugged his shoulders. "I guess I should have waited, until today to call her, but can't change what happen now."
"Lee I am sorry, I should have locked the door last night."
"Dave, it is not your fault and when do we lock that door, god forbid the person that wants to walk into this house when we are there." Leroy chuckled thinking about Dave, near six foot tall and two hundred pounds of muscle and a cop and him over six foot, muscle to boot and trained in hand to hand combat.
"Yeah, still I shouldn't be leaving my gun just lying in the front room, just because I am horny that my boyfriend is home. I am amazed she didn't see my clothes."
"I picked them up this morning and put your gun in the safe. Anyways, I think she would have thought that you were the messiest roommate on the face of the planet. I still don't think she would have thought anything was out of the ordinary even if she would have looked at your clothes." Leroy laughed. "Her baby boy was home, remember. Guess I am not her first born anymore, I can guarantee that I am disowned, but maybe Dad talked to her."
Dave wanted to ask about that, he didn't know his dad knew, but he decided not to broach that subject at this present moment, they were almost at Leroy parents' home.
*****
Once Sue was home she called Sarah, Dave's mother and asked her to come over right then. She went up to Leroy's room with a trash bag and started throwing things away. Lee was trying to stop her when Jewels came out of her room.
"Mom what are you doing?" Jewels had heard her father try to stop her from throwing things away but she didn't know where they were until she walked out of her room to see her in Leroy and Aaron's old room.
"Throwing Leroy's things away, I don't want them in my house anymore." As she picked up one of his trophies and threw it in the trash. Lee threw his hands up and walked out of the room because he heard the doorbell, he was thinking maybe Sarah could talk some sense into Sue.
"Mom, stop, what happened?"
"Either help me or get out of my way." As she pulled off another one of Leroy's football trophies from the dresser and threw it away, she was removing things as she came to them, tears were coming down her cheeks.
"Mom, I don't understand."
"Leroy is dead to me."
"Mom, what did he do?"
"He is just dead to me."
"Mom!" Jewels was getting very worried and tried to stop her from throwing the next trophy away.
"GET AWAY FROM ME." Sue screamed and threw the trophy across the room, it hit the way and busted into pieces.
Jewels walked out of the bedroom and started calling all of her siblings, telling them something is wrong to just come now, they all started showing up. After a while Jewels and Sarah were able to convince Sue to stop throwing Leroy's things away, to sit and calm down a bit. Between everyone they were able to steer her in the living room, when Leroy and Dave walked in.
"GET OUT." Sue screamed.
"Mom, I am sorry, I should have told you."
"GET OUT."
"Mom please let me explain."
The only three that knew what was going on was, Lee, Chris and Sarah. Sarah hugged her son when he was standing there.
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOMED."
Leroy just shook his head and walked out, Dave gave his mother another hugged and walked out after Leroy.
"What happened Mom, please will you just tell us." Aaron asked.
"Your brother... Your brother." She started to cry.
"What she is trying to say is Leroy is gay." Chris told everyone.
"How did you know?" Sue asked.
"Mom, I live with them, remember? They tried hiding it at first but after a while of them trying to steal time together, I just asked them."
"You are moving home, you are not going to live with that anymore."
"Mom, you are overreacting, they love one another." Chris responded.
"No, it is wrong, it is not right in the eyes of the Lord." Sue sat there for a minute and then got up.
"Mom where are you going?" Allison asked.
"Finished cleaning out that room, I don't want anything of him left here." As she was walking out of the living room she pulled his Military graduation picture off of the wall.
"Mom, stop please. I will pack everything up, you will hate yourself later if you threw his things away." Allison replied.
"Then pack them up and take them to his house, then no one is allowed to see him ever again."
"Mom, please don't be irrational." Patrick commented.
"No, I want Aaron, Jeff and you to go and help pack Chris up, he is not allowed to live there, drop all this shit off at his house while you are there." Sue started going around the living room and pulling all of the photos that had Leroy in them.
"Mom, please stop, you can't erase him from our lives." Jeff tried to reason with Sue.
"Just watch me." Sue continued to pull any photo that had him in it and put them in a pile.
"Is there anything in the room that you want Mom?" Aaron asked before he walked upstairs with some boxes.
"No, remove it all."
Aaron, Allison and Jewels were packing everything up in the room and they took his trophies out of the trash and put them in one of the boxes. Jeff, Chris and Patrick were taking them down to Jeff's SUV as they were filled.
"Dave and Leroy?" Aaron asks Chris during one of his trips down to the SUV.
"Yeah, they really do love one another." Chris responded.
"I knew they were always close, but I didn't realize that close." Aaron responded, Chris just nodded and headed back up to grab another box.
Sarah was trying to talk with Sue, but she wasn't making any headway, Lee just shook his head and stayed silent. Sue gathered everyone in the living room before Aaron, Jeff, Patrick and Chris left to Leroy's home, to drop the things off and pack Chris up.
"After today, Leroy is dead to us." Aaron started to speak but she cut him off. "NO, Leroy is dead to us, you are to have no contact with him." She motioned to the pile of pictures. "Take these too, I don't want them in my home." Allison started to speak again she cut her off. "If they stay here any longer, I will burn them." No one said anything, Aaron picked up the pile of pictures and the boys left and the girls sat down.

"I am sorry man. I didn't know your mom would respond this way, I just always assumed it would be your dad." Dave stated as he drove the truck home, he wouldn't let Leroy drive back. Leroy just stared out of the window.
"Dad walked in on us a few years ago." Dave looked over at him for a second. "He didn't see what mom saw. We were in the kitchen kissing and he walked in and we looked at one another and he walked back out. Ten minutes later he came back in like nothing happened."
"How did I not know this?"
"I just continued to kiss you; I wasn't expecting him to come back. He never mention it and neither did I." Dave pulled the truck into the drive and they got out and went in. Once inside Dave pulled Leroy up into a hug and kissed him.
"I am sorry."
"Dave it is ok, I think this would have been the same reaction no matter how she found out. I am tired, would you like to cuddle?"
"I thought you would never ask." They walked down to the bedroom hand in hand, laid down fully dressed and Dave spooned Leroy. It took Leroy a while to calm down enough to sleep but he was with the man he loved and not even his mother was going to change that.
*****
Almost two hours later, the boys pulled into Leroy's driveway. They walked into the house and called out to Leroy. They sent Chris to his room to start packing his things, they didn't want to but they told him that Mom will drag him out of the house herself if he didn't. He stomped off.
Leroy and Dave woke when Aaron called out for Leroy, they walked out to the living room.
"Hey Man." Aaron looked at him.
"Well?" Leroy asked.
"Mom sent us here with all of your things, and we are to collect Chris's things, she is making him move back home."
"Ok."
"Where would you like us to put your stuff?"
"In here is fine." Leroy and Dave walked out with them to start grabbing the boxes, they had everything in the house before Chris even packed a suitcase.
Aaron informed Leroy that they are supposed to cut all contact with him, but they said they won't that it is stupid, they were all hoping mom would come around and see that she can't cut him out of their lives.
"Aaron, just do as mom says, if no one is supposed to talk to me, just make it so. Don't need you all getting Mom upset."
"But it is stupid Man, so you are gay, who fucking cares." Jeff responded and Patrick nodded his head.
"I should have told her, it was my fault, I could have come out a long ass time ago, instead of waiting until I am thirty and her walking in on us."
"Oh Shit, Mom walked in on you two doing what?" Chris asked as he was laughing.
"Let's just say it isn't a position that you would want mom walking in on you and your wives or girlfriends."
"Holy Shit!" Was all Chris could say.
They talked some more while they helped pack up Chris's things and take them to the SUV. They all hugged Leroy before leaving and headed back over to the house.
Once his brothers left Leroy looked at the pile of pictures that were sitting on top of the boxes, he looked at Dave. "She took down every picture that had me in it, I bet you anything she is going through the photo albums." Leroy sat the photo he was holding down and walked out of the room, he didn't feel like doing anything except laying in his bed.
*****
It was June when this happened, Leroy thought eventually his mother would come around and start talking to him again, but by Christmas she had not. All his siblings wanted to have him over for Christmas but they didn't want to risk their mother finding out. Aaron and Allison's kids were wondering where Uncle Lee was, and they voiced it when they went over to grandma's while everyone was eating dinner, no one responded to them. So when Christmas presents were being opened they voiced it again.
"Grandma, where is Uncle Lee?" Sade asked.
Sue didn't responded to her, so Sade went up to her father, "Daddy where is Uncle Lee?"
"He couldn't come for Christmas, Honey." Aaron responded.
"He didn't show up for Thanksgiving either." Michael stated.
"No, he couldn't come then either." Allison frowned at her son.
"But I see his truck, he is across the street. Can we go see him?" Sade asked.
"No, you are not allowed." Sue responded.
"Why Grandma."
"Just because, just leave him alone."
They continued to opened their gifts and Sade cried a little because she didn't understand why she couldn't see her uncle.
*****
Leroy looked over at his parents' house as they pulled into Dave's parents drive. He had presents and cards for his sisters and brothers and the kids. He told Aaron that he would leave them in his car. Everyone was still talking to Leroy but behind their Mothers back. Leroy walked over to Aaron's car and put them in the front seat and walked back to where Dave was standing. They hugged and went into the house.
Sarah and Dan welcomed them inside when they knocked. The house smelled wonderful, it was decked out, and Dave's sister's kids were running all over the place. When Leroy and Dave walked in they screamed, "Uncle Dave and Uncle Lee are here." And they all run up to them and hugged and pulled them into the family room. Amanda was talking a mile a minute, she was the youngest, and she was hoping that Santa will leave lots of presents for her tonight. She climbed up on Leroy's lap and snuggled up to him. Harry climbed on Dave and did the same, the other three were just running from here to there. Leroy couldn't help but smile.
Dave and Leroy stayed around most of the evening, when Dave sister Mary and her husband Ken started putting the kid's coats, hats and gloves on, they took their leave. They hugged everyone before they walked out and went to the truck. It was snowing so Leroy started the truck to warm up and then started cleaning off the snow. Dave picked up some and threw it at him. Leroy grinned and grabbed up some snow and ran over and put it down Dave's pants. Dave screamed loudly.
*****
Sade was looking out the window and she saw Leroy outside of the neighbor's house, she ran over to the door and grabbed her coat before anyone knew what she was doing and ran out of the house over to him. "Uncle Lee?" She said as she flung herself at him. Leroy picked her up and swung her around and hugged her, he had a huge smile on his face. Aaron was already coming out of the house to retrieve her. "Uncle Lee, I miss you, why can't you come to Grandma's anymore?"
"It is a long story Babe, love you." He said as Aaron came up and shook his hand. "You have to go back in Sade."
"Come with us, can't he Daddy?"
"It isn't a good idea, Grandma doesn't want Uncle Lee there." He picked her up. "Say goodbye to Uncle Lee."
She stretched her arms out so she could hug Leroy and told him that she loved him. Aaron also hugged him and told him Merry Christmas and walked back to the house. Leroy and Dave got into his truck and pulled away.
Inside Michael was crying because he didn't get to run out to see his uncle. Everyone was looking out the window watching. Sue went into the kitchen she was mad, but she was missing Leroy, she found herself staring out the window too. When Aaron bought Sade back in through the kitchen Aaron hugged his mom and Sade yelled at her. "Grandma, it is Christmas, Uncle Lee should be here." Sue walked out of the room. Aaron scolded her.
When Aaron walked into the living room, everyone looked at him. "Did he say anything?" Allison asked.
"He just told me to tell everyone Merry Christmas." He smiled and turned away to try to hide the tear that rolled down his cheek. "Well it is getting late, Bridget honey, did you want to get going?" She nodded and started dressing Tyler, Aaron told her that he will gather everything and get Sade. When Aaron came out to the car to warm it up, he found the presents and stuck them in the appropriate cars. He hopes that Chris and Jewels finds theirs, he didn't want to leave them in plain sight. He stuck all of his family's presents in the trunk and came in and gathered his wife and kids.
*****
Leroy and Dave finally make it back to their house and Dave turned and hugged him. He reached into the tree and pulled out a box. "And what is this?" Leroy asked.
"My present to you." Dave smiled. Leroy opened the box to find a neckless. "Since I know you can't wear more than one ring. I decided to get you a neckless."
"Thank you, Hon." As Leroy pulled a box out of his coat pocket to hand to Dave. "And since you can wear more than one ring." Dave opened the box and took a thick gold band with several rows of diamonds out and stuck it on his right hand, his left hand ring finger was already taken, just like Leroy's. Dave hugged and kissed Leroy and then they went into the family room to see if there were any games on.

Really
Ok no one stood up to their mom or wife. Really stupid
Thank you
Sorry about the errors I noticed them after, the chapters were posted. Yes I do need an editor and I will look for one for the next story or next chapter (I just like sharing my story), I have the 3rd chapter on waiting to be posted by the site. So hopefully I caught the few that I saw in Chapter 3. I hate catching errors, I thought I had them all in the first and second chapters but once they came up live I caught more. :(.
Hopefully the father in my next chapter redeems himself (more in chapter 4), I have more of this story already pre-written but they is still a lot that is in my head.
I have two plus other stories I am writing right now, so I will find an editor for them.
Thank you for your commits, I do appreciate themmore...
very nice!!!
Excellent story and very well scripted, errors did NOT diminish the beauty and gravity of what this story was trying to portray! Love will always trump bigotry and cowardice!!
Four stars.
This chapter was better than the last one. I liked it. I hated his parents. His mom should be ashamed to call herself a mother, and the father is the worst coward ever. He needs to man up and stand up to that bitch.more...
