Decisions Decisions Ch. 01

I fell asleep on the way home. I'm usually a light sleeper in the car, but I must have been worn out by the hiking -- and the sex -- because I don't remember getting home. The guys obviously carried me in, undressed me, and placed me in bed.

I woke up and glanced at the clock: 6:30. Now, at 6:30 Sunday evening, we had been ordering dinner, so this would be 6:30 Monday morning. Cool, I didn't have to get up yet. I felt very warm and content, and was ready to drift off for a little more sleep, when I noticed that my house was not empty or quiet: the water was running in my shower, and the vent hood was running over my stove.

The shower shut off, and a minute later, Jeremy appeared wrapped in a towel. He smiled and cooed, "Morning, sleeping beauty." Then he stuck his head out the bedroom door and hollered down the hall, "She's up."

A few moments later, Chad appeared in his robe, hair damp from his recent shower, carrying plates of scrambled eggs and toast. He set the food down in the middle of the bed, and passed out napkins and forks.

As usual, when the food is good, there was no conversation. I spoke first. "So, what about this coming weekend?" It was still a mismatch -- two date nights, three combinations of Chad, Jeremy, and me.

Chad said, "I think each weekend we should do a couple one night, and a trio the other. Jeremy and I will alternate weekends for the couple nights." He looked at Jeremy. "Work for you?"

Jeremy said, "Yup, exactly what I was thinking. We may not always be able to alternate perfectly, but it'll be okay with me as long as things stay reasonably balanced. Chad, do you want to take this weekend?"

"Thanks, that'd be great, but you take it, I have concert tickets a week from Saturday -- sorry, only two -- so I'd rather have that weekend."

We all agreed, and the guys headed out (after rinsing the dishes), leaving me alone to get ready for work. As I locked the back door and headed for the car, I thought, "What the hell are we doing?"

Bliss. Pleasure. Delight. Happiness. Ecstasy. Heaven. Paradise.

As it turns out, those words describe what we were doing. The next four weekends, we had eight date nights: two with Chad and me, two with Jeremy and me, and four as a trio. All of them were fabulous. I kept my spidey sense on high, wondering if one or both of the guys would end up feeling left out or frustrated in any way. But I detected none of that, and I had no complaints myself.

Several weekends later, our evenings together had by no means settled into a routine -- there were too many facets of being a threesome to explore, sexual and otherwise.
