The woman stated something while pointing at the odd object that Cara now wore, then it spoke.

"Translator operational. Translation for a subset of Latin. More dialog will have to ensue before accurate translation is available."

Cara panicked and started to take it off, but the woman used the universal no, of shaking her head and waiving her arms. She did not know what to do. Run, throw the thing way, so she wrapped herself in a ball and started to cry.

"My name is Carlie," the nurse said and pointed to herself. The translator translated to Latin, but Cara did not look up

"Come on sweetheart, you have been by yourself for too long. Lets go get you cleaned up and see where we can start to getting you used to the ship." The nurse talked in a soft calm voice. She could feel the bones of the young woman beneath the skin. She did not know how long she had been starved, but she planned to get her heathy as soon as she could.

"Lord we have activity at the earth transfer nexus point." The fox navigator informed Drew.

"Any idea on transfer time to our space?" requested Drew.

"Give or take two Teran hours lord."

"Understood, have them get the Corvette ready and I am heading down to my quarters to change and then to the hanger bay."

"In process lord," stated the comm officer.

Drew finished changing into his old flight suit. It had lots of insignia, and medals and other garbage to make him look impressive. For what he was going to do, every little bit would help.

He entered the hanger bay, walked up the gangway and swing into his ship only to find two others already in the pilot and copilot seat, Alexander, and an exotic looking kettle female.

"Alexander, what are doing in my chair?" asked Drew.

"It's not your chair my Lord. I was here first and called shotgun. To parrot a past queen, I am a much better pilot than you are, and I wish to go on your next adventure." He turned and ignored Drew as he and the co-pilot went through their preflight checks.

"And your friend is who?" Drew asked again, trying to get control of the situation.

"My earth name is 'Target' Lord. I am more than happy to be along on your newest adventure." She did not look up at him but adjusted more controls.

"'Target?' Seriously? How did you get that name?" Drew asked.

"Because I always hit my target Lord. We have met before, but you were quite busy at the time and we were never introduced." Target commented.

"When and where co-pilot?" asked Drew already giving up on getting them out of the chairs and out of his ship.

"The hospital my Lord, after your fight with the Roaches. I was wounded too in that battle and was one of several wounded in the next room over. My aunt Kay took you on a tour after you were up." Target answered finally looking into his eyes.

She had and odd white streak of hair that followed a scar that went from her left eye and around part of her head. He could see the alien tech that had replaced her eye. She was quite beautiful for a kettle, and the battle scars just somehow added an exotic beauty. He tried to see the family resemblance with Kay but could not.

It finally clicked with Drew, it seemed so long ago. 'You were the one that manned the old gun turrets on the space station?" Drew questioned.

"Yes lord, I was a young and excited kitten that day. I got three before they blew up my command center where I was controlling my section of turrets." Target commented and then got quiet about all her friends and family that were killed that day.

"Glad to have you onboard Target," Drew shifted his focus and looked at Alexander, "We ready to ship out Alexander?"

"Yes lord, waiting on the ok to leave the ship from control."

The corvette maneuvered out of the bay, shifted into its programmed heading, and streaked off into the black ink of space.

The five ships blinked into space in the same location that the colony ships had entered before. Directly in front of the five ships, floated a small cat ship. Miniscule in mass compared to the 4 rehabbed Elder destroyers and the Human cruiser.

No one moved.

No one talked.

Just the silence of space.

Drew tried out something he had done before, but not with this many people and so vast a distance. He closed his eyes mentally broadcast out a message, to everyone in this section of space.

"This is Lord Drew Scott, Admiral of the colony fleet and ambassador for this parcel of space. You are trespassing without permission and must turn around and leave this space immediately...or else."

There was continued silence and then Target informed him, 'We are receiving a transmission Lord"

"Open it up please"

"Or you will do what you little pissant?" stated a sneering voice over audio, no visuals presented.

Drew closed his eyes and followed back the transmission to its sender, the rotund, white haired goatee man from the embassy.

Drew reached out and began to broadcast again.

"To all. This is Drew Scott, late of earth. I am also known as one of the Saviors of Earth. I am flying in the Cat converted Corvette 'Enterprise", also known as the 'mouse that roared.' You gave the ship that noble title when my co-pilot and I killed the Roach dreadnaught." Drew paused, this took more energy that he thought it was going to, but he wanted everyone to hear.

"I do not want to do battle. I do not want to hurt anyone. I just want you to turn around and go back home. There will be other opportunities to colonize additional planets. We just need time to work out the problems from our first colonies." He paused again and had to drink some water before additional projections.

"Turn back now. Armed ships are not allowed in our space and will be treated as hostile, each time, and every time. Turn back now or we will have to take aggressive action."

Drew turned and asked Alexander and Target "enough time?"

"Need another 2.2 Teran minutes, Lord" responded Target.

He hit the comm button "Gentlemen your ships are in our space. You were warned before we left that armed ships would be treated and pirates, what more do you..." Drew did not finish because the little ship was rocked from beam weapon fire from the cruiser.

"Shields holding fine lord, but we have four missiles inbound from the cruiser," commented Target rather calmly.

"Can you please deal with the missiles with the narrow focus bug weapon we have been working on?"

"Can I do it with some style...sir?"

"As long you get them before they shake the ship again, sure" responded Drew.

A pinpoint green ray, like an old LASER. Reached out one at a time and vaporized the incoming missiles. One, two, three, four, they winked out of existence.

Drew summed up his own personal energy and closed his eyes again,

"I am again asking for reason. Please turn around and leave our space. You are considered a hostile and will be dealt with deadly force. I give you one minute to turn and leave our space."

The corvette was again rocked by beam weapon fire from the Cruiser.

"Please tell me we are now ready," asked Drew as he was almost thrown from his command chair.

"Yes lord, the drones have completed their mission and the 'limpid mines' are in place." responded Alexander.

"Blow the engines, control vanes and weapon controls on all 5 ships." Ordered Lord Drew

A series of explosions on the different ships began, just like they had done to the Queens clan. This time, the drones had been sitting inert in space, like a mine field waiting on command. Once the command was given, they slowly approached their prey, keeping speed to the lowest levels. Drews mental talk and having the 'savior of earth, creating a show in front kept everyone's focus on the wrong place.

"Remove the weapons that keep shaking us up," ordered Drew

"yes sir," responded Target and burned a few more to make the point.

"Lord, we have inbound" Alexander commented in an excited voice.

Artemis and Aphrodite popped into space directly behind the corvette. Both oversized Cat Cruisers were literally glowing green from all the bug and other weapons lit up at that moment.

An incredibly angry sounding Thing One and Two echoed in his head.

"Just what do you think you are doing 'Admiral?" entered his mind with as much sarcasm as could be felt.

"Just handling a human matter with my friends over there" Drew commented smarting from the rebuke of two of his longest friends.

"North Alliance fleet, you are now disabled and under arrest. You have two options, fight and die. Or have all personnel abandon the elder destroyers. We will tow the cruiser back into the Homogeny space and send for rescue. You have 30 seconds." Drew paused and thought for a moment.

"One more thing, Mr. Reginal Schober will be turned over for trial. That is all, 30 seconds."

The two Cat cruisers immediately fanned out and powered up all weapons systems.

At 5 seconds left in the deadline, audio was again heard.

"We accept your offer. We ask clarification on your request for the civilian Mr. Schober."

"He has to answer for a message that was sent by the North Alliance that cumulated in the deaths of many Cats. He needs to answer for that. This is a non-negotiable point. Also, please make sure that no one sabotages the destroyers when they leave. Those are my spoils of war gentlemen."

"Agreed, personnel now being transported," Alliance command reported.

"What are we going to do with those old ships?" Thing One asked.

Thing two responded to her sister before Drew could respond, "Same thing we do with the other old ships, make them deadly."

I liked the "Limpid" mines LOL. Talk about a typo that completely reverses the meaning of the intended word - which I'm sure is supposed to be "Limpet" mines.

Some of the other typos are also fun. Homogeny. Maybe you intended to spell it that way. I thought it should be Hegemony.

But it's a great series and imaginative action and universe. I like that the North American - read USA - government is the one that's causing all the problems. I think that plot line would hold true if a real situation like this would happen, at least with the current lame duck administration in power.
