Author's Note:

A Drow's Dilemma began as a one-on-one roleplaying project and has been converted into a chapter-by-chapter format for weekly posting with the permission and assistance from my partner. It will contain a considerable amount of sexual themes such as femdom, lesbian, straight, 'reverse' rape, BDSM, group sex, romance, and other themes. The main goal of the story, however, is to tell an epic tale of adventures, gods and goddesses, fae, and nymphomaniacs. This episode and every episode to come will be available for free on Literotica for the foreseeable future. All characters that engage in sexual or suggestive situations are mentally and sexually mature: the human equivalent of 18 for their race.

Episode 108: Servants

A few days went by, and everyone fell back into their busy routines. A wide-eyed, disbelieving Hael'yss in servant's clothes was dropped off at the Duskhaven doorstep and was quickly led into Risa's dimension. For the short-term, Selene saw fit to treat the humiliated former noblewoman like any other servant. Selene indicated that she would deal with Hael'yss personally at some point in the near future, but was currently far too busy for someone as wholly unimportant as a house slave. Though Selene really did seem busy - she was barely seen at home - this treatment was a calculated insult that vexed the former noble drow greatly. Selene had a Plan, of course, but she also had time to make Hael'yss' enslavement a living hell.

Caleldir was content to treat her as just a servant. Risa did as well, though of course the A.I. did not need other servants in her realm. At least Hael'yss would always have Maid!Risas to talk to. If she was inclined. Because - besides the goblin Fucking - various R.I.S.A.s made up the entire staff of Risa's dimension.

About a week later, after the day's business was complete, Selene strode into Risa's dimension with a blue-gray female catfolk at her heel. The drow still carried herself with a confidence that suggested that absolutely nothing was out of the ordinary despite there being a new person beside her that she never so much as mentioned to anyone. The cat, however, was looking around herself with amazed curiosity slightly masked by timidness. A Look briefly passed between them before they entered the main door of the dimension mansion. The catgirl shyly slipped her hand into Selene's, who accepted the affectionate gesture without comment. Then they entered the mansion and began making their way to the library.

Caleldir blinked to see a new person with Selene joining him in the library. He had seen a few catfolk around, but his first and only interaction with them was during that Incident that Hael'yss was being punished for - when a few of them had been told to participate. They had been much nicer than the drow - even slightly apologetic - but had clearly enjoyed the experience even more than most of the drow.

And that was all he really knew about them. A servitor race, he believed. Perhaps created by the Drow. He decided not to comment on Selene's acquiring one just yet.

Risa had no such compunctions. She popped into the library in her biological body, wearing her normal outfit. "Oh! How cute!" she complimented. "Selene? Could you introduce your new friend to me?"

The catgirl's longhaired tail puffed to full size. Then she forced her way between Selene's back and the couch they were sitting on to peer out at the surprising newcomer.

The drow set the book she was about to read aside and looked up at Risa. For the moment, it seemed as if she was going to ignore the cat girl's surprised shyness. "Risa, this is Ylene," Selene introduced, pronouncing the name with three syllables; though the spelling was similar to her own name, the way she said it was much different. "Ylene, Risa is the goddess of this dimension. She also is the dimension, to some degree. No need to be afraid of her. Greet her."

Cautiously, the grey-skinned catgirl extricated herself from her place of safety, her brilliant emerald eyes big and wary. She was wearing Duskhaven livery that denoted her as a servant of pleasure: loose, diaphanous long pants and a shirt that wrapped tightly across her modest bosom and left her midriff bare. To complete the ensemble, there was a collar wrapped around her neck in Selene's own personal colors, along with a charm that represented the mistress's orders that the servant was not to be touched without permission. Ylene approached Risa to give her a curtsy and a shy, scared smile that revealed gaps were her sharp, carnivorous teeth should have been.

Risa gave the girl a grin. "Do not worry, Ylene. I am not going to harm you." She looked up at Selene. "You call the catfolk 'catgirls'? A strange decision. I suppose that the males of the cat race are relatively rare, though."

"Catgirl, catfolk. Males of the species are rare enough in our society that they could almost be considered their own thing. They are valuable enough that one might get stolen from me if I wasn't somewhat vigilant," Selene continued her explanation, knowing that Risa would want more information... and also strangely keen to assure the demigoddess that she had not just purchased a slave. "She approached me the other day when I was surveying the commoner's temporary living quarters. I recognized her immediately, of course; she was formerly Duagmyr's pet, given to him by his mother. Just before the coup happened, she was cast off for fear of her spying on him. Since then, she tried to assimilate with the commoners."

Greeting finished, Ylene darted back to Selene and forced her way onto the larger woman's lap. Idly, Selene began to softly stroke the catgirl's ears. This seemed to calm the nervous woman to some degree.

While Selene spoke to Risa, Caleldir tried to focus on his work, but couldn't help listening in on the conversation.

"Duagmyr's pet?" Risa said with moderate confusion. "The catfolk are just pets now?" She shook her head. "A pitiable fate, though. Those male drow were not the nicest of people. And cast out like that..."

"Indeed. She was born and bred by noble drow and was of course too docile and timid to succeed with the commoners. When she found me, she was hungry and ragged." And apparently desperate for affection, judging by how hard and fast she clung to Selene. "It took me a couple of days of thought, but in the end, I couldn't resist; I had to take her back here. Give her a home. She insisted on the outfit and, well, that I also couldn't resist giving to her. I think... I think it will be... therapeutic to have someone who is, ah, mine, you know?" Selene let out a half-scoff, half-laugh. "No one is going to be interested in stealing her away. She's just a catgirl."

Risa nodded and looked rather guilty. The A.I. was quick enough to realize what Selene's worry was. "I am sorry for my part in causing you problems that way."

Caleldir heard as well. He swallowed and left the library.

Selene shrugged, deciding to focus on the information exchange rather than the apology. She didn't like revealing just how much everything had affected her.

"But yes, the catfolk are a pet-servant species often used for pleasure in the Underdark - the females, anyway. Several were imported hundreds of years ago from the southern surface lands, and since then we've bred them to be even more loyal and docile." She stroked Ylene's head, which the cat-eared female seemed to enjoy even if she still watched Risa warily.

"It is not a life I would choose for myself to put it lightly. Their fangs are almost always removed." Selene pressed a thumb against Ylene's lip to raise the corner where her tooth was missing, causing Risa to wince. The cat twitched her head away after a moment and smacked her lips in annoyance. Selene ignored this and moved her hand to lift Ylene's hand. It looked like a normal humanoid's, but without fingernails. Selene saw that Risa winced again. "Their claws are almost always removed. Many females are even sterilized when they are given to male drow as pets, but not in Ylene's case. They can breed with pretty much everything. The results are always sterile, though, and not as easily managed as a purebred. There is a market for half-breeds, but most people don't want to go through the hassle."

"Anyway," Selene said with a sigh. "I would like a room for her - preferably connected to the master bedroom if you can manage it."

"A very different type of creature you are to what I am used to, then," Risa said apologetically to Ylene. She set her lips tightly, then touched down and walked over closer to the two of them. "Hmmm... Ylene? I can tell that you are still a bit scared of me. I would be scared of everything too if I had had all my natural weapons ripped out. Would you like for me to restore them? I have some extremely powerful regenerative magic that I can use on you."

The catgirl's eyes grew a little wider at the strange purple woman approached her and proposed impossibilities. Of course her claws and teeth couldn't grow back! Perhaps If they were merely broken, but still partially there...

Risa looked from the Catgirl to Selene and back, then shrugged. She continued on talking without giving either of them a chance to get in a word edgewise. "Eh, nevermind. I will go ahead and create the room you request. On one condition: you let me do this." Hand glowing with purple energy, she took hold of Ylene's shoulder.

Ylene winced away from Risa's touch, but there wasn't any place for her to go when she was being held by Selene. The Catgirl felt a burst of power through her system, then a mildly painful ache as her claws and fangs grew back. Even after the brief contact, she tried to scramble away. The drow held her firm, however, until the surprising and slightly disturbing sensations died down and Ylene was left in a half-daze.

Risa stepped away, rubbing her hands together. "I feel much better about things now!" she said cheerfully. "Being a divine entity has its perks. I will go build that room for you now!"

"You really should actually ask permission with that sort of thing, Risa," Selene said with a sigh. The drow did not look displeased, however. On the contrary, she picked up Ylene's hand with a look of satisfaction on her face. Normal-looking fingernails were there.

"I could ask for permission, but sometimes my programming is for action rather than deliberation," Risa said innocently.

The catgirl focused her attention on her hand as well. She flexed, and suddenly the normal-looking nails sharpened, lengthened, and thickened into true claws. Then they were back to normal. Meanwhile, her tongue was obviously exploring the inside of her mouth. This Risa really could do what she said she could. When Ylene next looked at the demigoddess, her eyes were less afraid and more admiring. "Th-thank you."

"Yes, thank you, Risa," Selene echoed in her much louder, much more confident voice. "For the room and the healing. If you don't mind, when you're done we'll make our way up there and try to get her settled in. Oh, and we should introduce Ylene to Caleldir." A look of uncertainty crossed Selene's face for just a moment. It passed, though. What did she have to be uncertain of? Why couldn't she take a companion of her own? It happened to Caleldir all the time! "Can you tell him to meet me in the new room?"

"And yes, of course I will tell Caleldir to meet you. Also, you are very welcome, Ylene! If you need anything, just say. I hear everything in this dimension." With that, she phased away into the fabric of her dimension. The house began to morph and shift.

Soon, Risa alerted Selene and Ylene that the room was finished and Caleldir was on his way to it. Risa then opened a portal so that Selene and Ylene could step through into the room before Caleldir arrived.

Ylene and Selene sat upon the bed that was there, testing the comfort and bounce of the furniture. Of course, it was just as perfect as any other bed that Risa furnished her dimension with, and Selene expected nothing less. It was mostly out of habit, really, and to be near the catgirl who really was trying things out for the first time.

Caleldir arrived with a look of pleasant welcome on his face, with a bit of sheepish guilt behind the expression. "So, Selene. Risa tells me that you wished to introduce me to your new... possible familiar?"

Ylene had been sitting on the side of the bed and bouncing up and down with the look of amusement in her expression. As soon as she caught sight of the male, however, she stopped immediately and began to shy behind Selene.

"Good evening, Caleldir," Selene said with a soft smile that faded slightly when she registered the sheepishness on his face. What was that look for? Had he somehow heard her conversation with Risa? Selene sighed and looked toward Ylene. Perhaps that was the case, perhaps she was just being guilty and paranoid. She masked the hesitation by pulling Ylene out from behind her to give Caleldir a better look.

"Caleldir, this is Ylene. And yes, it had occurred to me to look into her becoming my familiar. For now, she is just a companion for when you or Ashyr are... away." She cleared her throat and did some more pretending that she was not hesitant to give him the full details of her motivations.

Caleldir nodded. That all made sense. Ylene was very shy, but she looked healthy and happy enough to be here. And seemed fairly undamaged. Not as vivacious as the catfolk back... well, back at that day, but healthy. Mostly, he was feeling guilty about his apparent inability to keep Selene company. So much so that she went out and got someone that would not be constantly being taken away from her. Not that he minded Ylene, she was no doubt a sweet young lady, but still.

"Ylene, this is my mate." She put a hand on the catgirl's back and pushed her towards Caleldir. "You must greet him, too. He won't hurt you. He is a Good man."

The cat-eared woman stood, back to being wide-eyed and uncertain. She approached Caleldir and dropped into a low curtsy. "Hello, master Caleldir," Ylene said almost too softly to be heard.

"Greetings, Ylene. You do not need to call me 'Master', unless you are referring to my hundreds-of-years-dead title of Master Librarian, like Risa does half the time." He sighed and gave her a smile. "I am sorry, Ylene. You come in at an awkward time. I do not mean to be unwelcoming. I hope that you will have a good time here. I look forward to seeing you around." He turned to Selene, his face still partly masking an unspoken apology. "If there is anything you need from me on this, just ask," he said quietly. "I am, of course, at your service. When I am allowed to be."

"She took to me quickly; I had hoped that it would be the same for everyone here. Apparently not. I know I don't have to tell anyone here to be kind to her (except, perhaps, Hael'yss) but she does have to be looked after if I'm not around for any reason. No one but you, Ashyr, Risa, and Althaia are to touch her." She gently ran her thumb around the catgirl's collar to draw attention to it. "That is what this means: no touching without permission. She insisted on wearing it, not me."

"I will not initiate any physical contact without permission from you yourself, Ylene," Caleldir said amusedly. "Hopefully you can calm your nerves a bit. A few significant buffs from Risa and I will help greatly with that. So, think about what sort of fun abilities you would like to have, Ylene. If they are possible, we will give them to you. Catfolk, like cats, are not the best spell-casters, but take extraordinary well to permanent enchantments, and are heavily resistant to curses. Hmmm... perhaps a teleport? An ability to walk through walls? I will give it some thought..."

Another sigh from Selene when she noticed Caleldir glancing at the door. Yes. It was probably time he left. Ylene needed a chance to settle down and get comfortable, and she wasn't going to do that with a stranger standing there awkwardly. "Now that she has a room, we have everything under control." She held out her arms towards Ylene, who gladly retreated from Caleldir and into the safe and secure lap of Selene. "I will be sleeping here until she gets comfortable with you two. Good night, Caleldir."

Outside the room, Hael'yss removed her ear from the door with an unreadable expression. She was supposed to be sweeping the hall. It was all just busywork, of course, but Selene very cruelly insisted that she do every job a of her station servant would be expected to do. The former noblewoman couldn't help being distracted by the new door in the hallway that wasn't there before. She was glad she had stopped. It was important for her to get a feel for the household if she was to serve them correctly.

Caleldir was so distracted by plans of improving Ylene that he paid little heed to Hael'yss when he strode on past her. He did not, in fact, even notice her.

And so, a few days passed. Selene stayed with Ylene, Risa with her succubi, and Ashyr with her son. Caleldir, for his part, slept in a bed with Ashyr but did nothing more than cuddle (though he still had lots of sex with Dahlia, of course). During the day, he worked on training the engineers and repairing some of the ancient mechs as well as developing some preliminary theories on how to magic-up Ylene.

Ylene gradually got used to the people she was to live with - likely for the rest of her life - over those next couple days. Which meant she didn't immediately try to hide behind Selene whenever someone walked in. The catgirl wasn't quite at the point of warming up to anyone who wasn't Selene. There were two small exceptions: Uriel the mostly purified half-demon infant and Fucking the goblin cook. They were utterly unthreatening and were, therefore, a source of endless curiosity. When Selene had to leave Ylene behind, the shy catfolk stayed in her room and was kept company by the goblin when he had time to spare.

Selene still did her duties but was rather engrossed by the new addition to the family. The unfortunate result was that she neither slept with nor 'slept with' Caleldir since she brought Ylene back. Neither did Ashyr, of course, though she was growing more and more comfortable with cuddling naked in the warmth and comfort of their bed.

And Hael'yss noticed all.

Usually, Caleldir worked in Risa's dimension when not directly working with the engineering apprentices (several of which he recognized from... well, from Dinoryn's university), but not always. Today, for instance, he was working on an interesting mechanical device that he wanted to show Risa only when it was finished. So, here he was sitting in front of a desk in the temporary House Duskhaven House. What a name that was...

"Your tea, Master Librarian," Hael'yss said in the most servile tone she could muster as she placed a steaming hot mug of 'tea' on a decorative coaster next to Caleldir's work. It grated on her to degrade herself in such a way, which had been clear the first couple days of her humiliation. Now, however, she was getting quite good at hiding her rage and indignation. At least out here, in the House Duskhaven Mansion, she wasn't a superfluous servant made to wait on the family because it amused Selene. Yes, she liked it much better when she was called upon to serve outside, away from prying eyes...

Caleldir was not really comfortable with having Hael'yss around, but at the moment he was distracted enough to tolerate her without too much awkwardness. He gave her a quiet nod of thanks. She got his old title right too. He was not sure why it was that he preferred 'Master Librarian' so much in comparison with simply 'Master', but somehow the latter always made him vaguely uncomfortable when it came from women.

He took the tea with a perfunctory thanks and took a sip. Hmm... it was actually quite good. He closed his eyes and sighed. Hael'yss was doing unusually well. Maybe she had been sufficiently humble? "Ms. Maevalzynge, you have been very cooperative these last few days. For that, I thank you. If you will continue to not cause any problems, I will see about keeping Selene from causing you too much trouble." Further speech was cut rather short by a sudden onset of dizziness, then lightheadedness. "Oooohhh... forget that," he wheezed. "That was drugged..."
