Kat wiped a stray tear from her cheek.
"It's just the truth. Now, one more thing."
Kat pulled back, but Trace didn't want to let go. He kept a hold of one of her hands.
She laughed and awkwardly flipped to the back of the book one-handed.

Trace tore his eyes away from her face with difficulty, and glanced down. The book was turned to the last page.
