Becky cried until she woke up. She realized that even though she was really alone now, that I would be there in ways she couldn't understand.

I was watching her, and my heart was breaking. I felt Tom's arm on my shoulder, "It's time to go."

"I don't want to go. I need to stay here and take care of my son. I need to..."
