Fighting Back for Love Ch. 09

byAshiraDatya©

"Attack, now!" Carrie exclaimed with a grin. He had used up almost all of his energy during the first half of the attack and most of the rest when he attacked his nephew. They trained their guns on their enemy and fired. When he dropped to the ground, Grady hurried to secure him.

"Unmask the bastard!" Serene spat. Tyler pulled the face piece of the helmet off of the man's face.

"Senator Grant?" Carrie asked, her eyes wide.

"How the hell?" Tara muttered.

"We'll question him later. We need to get Kylie back to the compound and have her checked out," Serene said. She followed William back to the jeep and grinned when she saw her sister cradling the tiny baby. "Hey kid," Serene said softly.

"You guys are okay!" Kylie exclaimed.

"Yeah, all but Paul," Serene murmured. Kylie glanced at William and sighed.

"He saved your life," William sighed.

"I know, but he nearly took it from me," Kylie whispered.

"Let's go back to the compound," William said, getting behind the wheel of the jeep.

"How are you feeling?" William asked Kylie.

"Better than I felt yesterday," she answered with a grin.

"Good." William kissed her before turning his attention to their son. "I can't believe he's here," William said softly. Before Kylie could say anything else, Serene and Grady came into the room.

"What's going on?" Kylie wanted to know.

"Grady is being a dominating pain in the ass," Serene grumbled.

"Not in front of the baby," Kylie teased.

"I have a surprise for you," Grady interrupted. Kylie looked past Grady as two people hovered in the doorway.

"Mom! Dad!" Kylie exclaimed as Grady stepped aside to reveal her parents.

"How are you?" her mother asked softly.

"Sore, tired, but happy," Kylie answered.

"Hi mom," Serene murmured. William and Grady glanced at each other and slipped out of the room to give them some privacy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's so quiet," Kylie murmured as William stepped out onto the balcony and over to her. The breeze lifted the locks of hair off of Kylie's shoulders playfully. She smiled as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Perry's asleep and your sister had some place to be," William answered.
"She probably had to go fuck Grady," Kylie joked.
"Most likely. I have to leave for work soon, is there anything you need before I go?" William asked. Kylie turned to face him, a soft smile on her face; the tension that had once haunted her eyes gone. "God Lee, you're so beautiful," William moaned before she could say anything.
"It's good you think so, because there is something you can do for me," Kylie said.
"And what might that be?" William asked with a grin.
"Fuck me senseless," Kylie answered with a teasing grin on her face. William lifted her up into his arms and headed back inside.
"As you wish," William murmured, nibbling on her neck.
As William left the house later that evening for his shift at the hospital Kylie was making Perry a bottle, a content smile on her face. The terror was over, her life was back to normal and she had her love. Could life get any better?
