"I don't believe this," Lily said, standing up and turning away.
"Where is he?" Ty wanted to know.
"It's a long story," Greg told his son.
"Well, you've made it impossible for us to go anywhere, so why don't you explain?" Lily snapped.
"Did your mother ever take you or Eli to visit your grandmother?" Greg wanted to know.
"No, she didn't. Mom always said her parents were dead," Eli said from the doorway.
"What's going on?" Grace wanted to know. Greg sighed but ushered them both into the study.
"Dad and Lily's mom were dating in high school. Lily's mom was pregnant with our brother when she graduated," Tyler told his sister.
"Your grandparents sent your mother to a home for pregnant unmarried teens and the baby was put up for adoption. Your mom wasn't even allowed to hold him," Greg told Lily and Eli.
"Why didn't mom tell us?" Eli wanted to know, putting his arm around his sister's shoulders.
"I don't know. I tried to find him though," Greg said.
"And?" Tyler asked, looking at Lily in concern. Before Greg could answer, Caroline walked back into the study with a file folder.
"This just came," she said softly. Greg flipped through the folder and sighed.
"He was killed in a drunk driving accident last year. He left behind a fiancée, no kids. His adoptive parents live in New Jersey," Greg said. Before anyone else could say anything, Lily's cell phone rang.
"Hello?" Lily answered the phone and listened intently. When she hung up the phone, her eyes were wide and her face was pale.
"What's wrong?" Tyler asked.
"Mia's gone in for the transplant," Lily murmured. Tyler grabbed Lily's hand and pulled her to the garage where his father's mustang was parked. "What about keys?" she asked. Tyler grinned and walked over to the locked box on the wall. He entered the code and pulled the keys out of the box.
"Let's go," Tyler said with a grin.
"Doctor Anderson!" Lily shouted as she hurried up to her daughter's doctor.
"I'm glad to see you finally went home and got some rest. The transplant took a little longer than I thought, but Mia came through like a champ. Barring rejection, Mia should be just fine. We'll begin some chemo just to make sure that all the Cancer cells are gone, but given how close the match was, there's very little chance of that," Doctor Anderson told them. Lily gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much for everything," Lily murmured.
"It was my pleasure," Doctor Anderson said before walking away. Tyler looked at Lily and they both heaved huge sighs of relief.
"When will they let us see her?" Tyler wanted to know. Lily fished her notes out of her pocket and Tyler chuckled slightly.
"In a few hours, once they have her settled in isolation," Lily answered, sticking her tongue out at him.
"Geek," Tyler teased, grabbing the notes from Lily.
"Nerd," Lily countered.
"Okay you two, grow up," Eli said from behind them.
"What's the news on Mia?" Grace wanted to know.
"She did well," Tyler answered, glancing at Lily. Lily caught him staring and blushed.
"Eli?" Everyone turned to look at the young woman in the doorway and Eli grinned.
"Emma, this is my sister Lily, my friend Ty and his sister Grace. Guys, this is Emma," Eli introduced. Lily and Grace exchanged glances.
"I didn't know you had a girlfriend Eli," Lily said with a small smile.
"My life isn't an open book," Eli reminded his sister.
"How long have you been dating?" Lily asked innocently.
"Don't start Lil," Eli warned.
"You're seventeen Eli, I'll start if I want," Lily said.
"Is your niece okay?" Emma asked.
"She's doing better, thank God," Eli told Emma. Grace ruffled Eli's hair.
"Aww, Lil, look at little Eli, he's growing up soo fast," Grace squealed. Lily and Ty burst out laughing and Eli scowled.
"Oh knock it off," Eli grumbled, leading Emma to the far side of the waiting room. Grace looked at Lily, her eyes full of concern.
"Why don't you go home Lil, you look like death warmed over," Grace said gently.
"I want to be here when Mia wakes up," Lily said stubbornly. Grace held up her car keys and swapped them for the keys to the mustang. "What are you doing?" Lily asked, seeing the swap.
"I'm taking you some place where you can rest," Tyler answered, slipping a piece of paper into his sister's hand.
"I want to stay here," Lily said stubbornly.
"You won't do Mia any good if you stay here and wear yourself out to the point of exhaustion," Tyler pointed out.
Lily opened her mouth to argue again but Tyler pulled her towards the exit.
"Ty, you have no right ..." Lily swallowed her words when Tyler pushed her gently up against the wall and pressed his lips to hers.
"Stop complaining, I'm taking you to rest," Tyler murmured, his voice thick with emotion. Lily allowed herself to be led to Grace's jeep and slid inside.

"Where are we?" Lily wanted to know.
"My hotel," Tyler answered.
"It's beautiful," Lily murmured.
"It belonged to my grandfather. It started out as just a small bed and breakfast, but when grandpa passed on, dad turned it into a four star resort," Tyler said with a grin. "Hold my calls Jo," he told the girl at the front desk before he led Lily into his suite.
"Ty, why did you come rushing back when I called about Mia?" Lily asked suddenly.
"Because she's my daughter. I may have denied it before the blood test, but I knew it from the minute I set eyes on her," Tyler answered. "But I was waiting for you to come to me," he added.
"Why Jenni? She doesn't seem your type," Lily murmured.
"She looked a little like you," Tyler admitted. Lily looked up, surprised by the comment. "I've always loved you Lily, but the only time I had the courage to admit it was after Justin shot you," he added.
"I didn't hear you," Lily said softly.
"You were asleep," Tyler admitted. "You looked so peaceful and beautiful. If you had known then that you were pregnant, I would have dropped everything to be with you if you'd let me."
"I did know. The doctor told me right before you, Grace and Caroline came to visit. I almost did tell you, but I was scared that you wouldn't want anything to do with me ... and I was terrified of what your mother would say, so I kept it to myself for as long as I could," Lily said quietly.
"Wow, did we make a mess of things," Tyler said. Lily nodded. "We could start over," Tyler suggested, reaching for Lily's hand. Lily ran her thumb over his knuckles and stopped when her thumb brushed over his wedding band.
"You're married Ty," Lily reminded him. Tyler tugged off the ring.
"Not for long," he said.
"We aren't starting anything until your divorce is finalized," Lily told him firmly.
"Just one kiss," Ty murmured, pressing his lips to hers. Lily closed her eyes and let the sensations rush over her.
"Stop," she said weakly as she was pushed down onto the bed.
"I can't," Tyler groaned, running his hands down her shoulders before cupping her breasts.
"Ty," Lily moaned as he rolled his fingers lightly over her nipples. Lily tried to push him away but Ty kissed her again and Lily was lost.
Lily stopped protesting and helped Ty pull her clothing off of her. Tyler stopped and stared in shock at the full length of the scar on Lily's abdomen.
"What did he do?" Tyler whispered. Lily reached for her shirt but Tyler pushed it away. "You're still beautiful," he murmured. Lily shivered as Tyler pressed kisses down her body, spending a few agonizing moments kissing her scar while his fingers dipped inside her. Lily moaned as his fingers stroked her tenderly. He stood up long enough to roughly pull his own clothing off and let them drop in a pile on the floor.
"Ty," Lily said weakly, bunching her fists in his hair as he pressed his lips to her clit and sucked gently. Lily's hips arched upwards and Ty grinned as he pressed her back down into the mattress.
"I love you Lily," Tyler moaned as he pressed his cock against her folds.
"I love you too," Lily admitted as he thrust into her. Lily met him thrust for thrust; their tongues melded together as pleasure rushed over them. Lily let out a choked scream as she came and bit down on Tyler's shoulder to muffle the sound. Tyler winced and chuckled; his chuckle turned into a hoarse yelp. Lily closed her eyes as she felt his seed pulse into her.
Tyler collapsed over Lily for a moment before rolling off of her.

"You look better," Grace said the next morning when she slid into the booth across from Lily.
"I feel better," Lily admitted.
"Where's Ty?" Grace wanted to know.
"Still sleeping," Lily answered. Grace studied Lily carefully and grinned.
"You got laid last night," she accused.
"What makes you say that?" Lily wanted to know, taking a hasty sip of her water.
"It's all over your face beautiful," Tyler said. Lily looked up, her eyes wide. "Did you think I wouldn't know that you took off?" he asked, his eyes shining.
Lily blushed but slid over to make room for Tyler.
"Isn't this cozy." Tyler looked up, his eyes narrow.
"What do you want Jen?" he asked. She tossed papers at him.
"We're done, just like you wanted," Jenni told him before walking away. Tyler flipped through the papers and grinned.
"I'm officially divorced," he announced.
"How is that possible? You only filed a few days ago," Lily asked in surprise.
"It helps when you give a large one time alimony payment," Tyler said.
"How much?" Grace wanted to know.
"Enough." Grace rolled her eyes as the waitress walked up to take their orders. It was Tyler's turn to look surprised when all Lily ordered was an english muffin and a bowl of cereal.
"That's it?" Tyler asked.
"That's all I need," Lily answered. Tyler shook his head.
"I remember when you used to out eat me," he said with a grin.
"I still can; I just don't keep it off as easily as I did in high school," Lily told him.
"You look amazing," Tyler told Lily. She laughed.
"Thanks to a diet and exercise regime," Lily countered.
"Bull," Tyler said, taking a sip of his coffee.
"I gained almost forty-five pounds when I was pregnant with Mia. It wasn't pretty," Lily said.
"You were depressed," Grace reminded her friend.
"All I did was eat, so when I had Mia, I decided to join a gym as soon as I was given the okay for strenuous activity. It took nearly a year for me to lose the weight, but I've decided not to let myself get that huge again," Lily added.
"You're supposed to get huge when you're pregnant," Tyler said. Lily and Grace exchanged looks and Lily shook her head.
"I could hardly move," she told Tyler. He grinned.
"I bet you were cute."
"As cute as a whale," Lily retorted.
"Oh grow up," Grace said laughing as the waitress brought their breakfasts.
