Cindy's anger on her face softened. "You... you're right... we'll have to let them..." She stood up, barely making it. I wrapped my arms around her in a hug as she began crying.
"It'll be okay." I whispered as she broke down into almost silent, body-racking sobs. "It will be okay..."

Speaking as the author, I agree with you. Sometimes the sexual encounters fit in with the story, but sometimes they feel as if they're an added 'extra', and don't pack the desired sexual 'punch' I originally intended. And yes, sometimes when the plot and action get thick and heavy (as in this series and the next one to come), the sex scenes can actually be a distraction. It's a learning experience for me as i try different things with the writing, so I appreciate everyone who is bearing with me, and i hope everyone continues to enjoy the stories and give good constructive feedback.

That the sex has actually started to become a distraction from the investigations and the pursuit of the "consultant of crime." :)
